BEWARE!!! PEOPLE LIVING IN UNITS!! CRONIC THEFT PROBLEMS! RAISES PRICES WVERY 2-3 MONTHS! SECURITY CAMERAS DO NOT WORK! Rented out four storages at this facility when I first moved here. Three for business and one for personal. Pick this facility because it had security cameras throughout. year two the rate started going up every 2 to 3 months. Some of them going up as much as $80 per unit in two months. I have 24 hour access because of being a business. Started noticing that there was several units that people were living in. Just been numerous amounts of issues with the place, including the straw that broke the camels back when my personal unit was broken into and very expensive stuff was taken. The reason for this break-in is because when units are empty, they leave the doors wide open to those units which exposes the side walls and back wall to everyone else’s units, which can be unscrewed with just a simple Philip screwdriver. So the thieves went from one unit to another to another stealing items from all those units told the manager, let’s go ahead and get a look at the video footage of the cameras. She told me they don’t work very well. I said that’s OK. Let’s just go ahead and look and maybe we can see something she said well what I meant was as they don’t work at all so the whole reason I had picked that place was cause they had security footage and come to find out it didn’t work the whole time. I was there if you value your stuff or you care about set prices do not rent from here. The police officer said that they’re in there all the time because of this ... Read more

The gate has been broken for well over a month. The manager refuses to pay to get it fixed, and they opted to manually open the gate during the day. The temporary note on the gate says while the gate is broken, it will stay open during business hours, from 9am to 6pm. However, today is Thursday, and the gate has been closed all day. The Mgr won't answer the phone, there are 3 different pickup trucks trying to get into their units to unload, and the management refuses to open the gate. Not only can we not drop off the furniture into our unit, but what we already have in the unit is inaccessible, despite our contract clearly defining the 24-hour access. And yes, THERE ARE PEOPLE LIVING IN SEVERAL UNITS & DEFICATING IN THE OPEN AREAS. What the heck is going on? I do NOT recommend this place for ANYONE until the problematic management & the issue with human feces next to padlocks & door latches is rectified. ... Read more

I don't know if this is the case with every storage facility, but with this one, expect your rates to constantly increase. Security checks of the property are rarely, if ever, performed. This is no exaggeration, a good 5-10% of the units are inhabited by the homeless. There are no public restrooms, so guess where they deposit their waste, both human and non-human. ... Read more

I rented a unit for a couple months I had put in my move out date in advance. I was still charged after the fact because they never closed my account. Now I’ve been getting the run around for 2 weeks on $130 charge that they won’t give back. I’ve sent bank statements and talked to multiple people. I will never be using this service again. ... I was with this place for about 2 1/2 years. Making monthly payment was so easy. Everything was perfect so never really had to speak with office except when I moved in, and moved out. Which office staff was amazing. Move in was simple , move out was simple. The only thing semi negative I can say is the price went up little too high for me but on the positive note I will say it was worth the money, when I moved my stuff there it was there for over 2 years and when I moved out there no bugs no spiders so they definetely maintain the grounds. I would absolutely use them if I needed a storage again. I absolutely recommend them. ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 450 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by SecurCare Self Storage - 42335 East Florida Avenue start from $119 and can go up to $590 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
