We were downsizing and selling our vacation home so we had a houseful of stuff. We rented a 10 x 15 storage unit for 5 months from Grove St. The staff there is so friendly and accommodating. And, the storage units are clean and well maintained. They're also VERY secure. We never worried about our stuff getting stolen or damaged. If you're looking to store anything, they're the place! ... Here's the rant: I would have given one star, but I'm giving 2 stars because Renee, the manager, is a gem. Otherwise, I'm quite disappointed with Grove St. Storage. The first disappointment was July 4th of last year. When I went to store my belongings during a move, the property was closed for the holiday! I'll save you the gorey details. It was a total inconvenience for numerous reasons. Second, I was informed I had to purchase insurance through Storage Pro, which shouldn't be required because I am covered through my renter's policy. Third, there are drainage and moisture/humidity issues in the buildings and on the property. During the rainy season I saw standing water on the hallway floor of the covered building where my unit is located and I noticed the drains in the driving/loading areas were above capacity. Later I noticed wetness in my unit and the entire floor (and the bottom of my stuff) was covered with a white residue after the wet season ended. And, finally, the rent increase was insult to injury. As I was vacating the premises today, I let Renee know my grievances. Very kindly she acknowledged my concerns. I asked for a one-month refund as a gesture and she said that "Corporate wouldn't allow that." I will do my best to avoid renting in a Storage Pro facility in the future. Thanks for reading. ... I’ve been renting at Grove St. Storage for a while, and it used to be a decent place—but ever since they got new management, it has completely gone downhill. My unit has had a broken door and leaks for way too long, and management has done absolutely nothing to fix it. I’ve reported these issues multiple times, but the manager, Renee, never responds or takes action. Meanwhile, my belongings have been ruined, and more damage keeps happening. It’s clear they don’t care about their customers or maintaining the facility. If you’re thinking about renting here, stay away! It’s not worth the stress, the damage, or dealing with incompetent management. Find somewhere that actually takes care of their units and their renters. ... Read more

Not once in my several years of renting a unit did I have a problem with Grove St Storage. Paying was simple and the staff was always very kind and friendly. They even accommodated me for my 10 day notice and let me move out first before paying the final. Truly a great option if you’re local and in need of storage space! ... Read more

Great storage facility! Very clean and organized. The large freight elevator with dollies and flatbeds made it easy to offload my things to the upstairs level. Renee was super friendly and helpful. She got me all set up with what I needed. She walked me through and showed me the process. I would recommend this storage facility. Thanks! ... Read more

Very good experience. I visited the office and Renee walked me through the options. We found the right size and price and she showed me the unit. It was perfect for my needs. We went back to the office and completed the rental agreement. The whole process took less than 30 minutes. Renee was very helpful and pleasant to work with. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Grove Street Self Storage - 1555 Grove Street include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Enclosed, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 20 to 250 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Grove Street Self Storage - 1555 Grove Street start from $62 and can go up to $485 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
