Spoke with Deon and he was amazingly helpful, kind and courteous- unlike staff at other storage facilities I encountered. The facility was very clean, the office didn't look like a train wreck and was organized. I could tell the way the young man looked up rates, shared important details, the facility is ran well. Highly recommend! ... Read more

This is the worst facility I’ve ever used. It’s infested with rodents. They’ve completely ruined all of my belongings, including my breast cancer treatment items from City of Hope, my luggage, and everything else I own in this storage unit. Everything is covered in rodent feces and urine. ... Read more

One week after moving in and I received a call to come down, only my storage was broken into, even tho I have renters insurance I am forced to have theirs included in payment which is a waste. Because Lakewood Sherriffs Record lady never gave me my report, so I lose my items that were taken but still forced to pay for an insurance company that has a 30 or 60 day to file, so now I am thinking inside job, I am calling their insurance today and have them talk to my agent to try to at least recover a$3000.00 loss Response to management, this unit was broken into before that incident and it was not this unit she called about, it was my 2nd unit you need to get your facts strait! Also look at the photo does that look like I didn't lock it? Even the officer saw lock was on proper and it was pryed. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at SecurCare Self Storage - 12336 Carson Street include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
