Worst storage I have ever rented from. The main manager is anything but business like. My own mother never yelled at me the way that woman did every time she spoke to me. I don't know how she got to be a manager. My old man and I have a business and we would never address an employee or a customer the way that woman address me. ... Read more

Went in today to check out the storage units at this place and was pleased to see cargo containers instead of regular units. Spoke to the manager, Jessica and she was very helpful! I will be back to grab a unit when I get closer to moving to Galt in May. ?????? ... Read more

The office is not open during the posted office hour times. Phone calls are not returned in a timely manner. Gate has been broken and it took two weeks for them to fix it. Save yourself a headache use a different storage facility. Photo of closed office at 1:10pm 3/1/25. “Will return at 8am” ... Read more

***Beware of this storage facility. Untrustworthy, Unsafe, I actually had the first unit when they opened so I've seen it go downhill. I had 7 units here. Since new management has taken over my storage price has been raised twice in months. After talking to the manager from Stockton that was training he said they do "reviews" 2 times a year and laughed and said if I didn't like it to move next door. Best advice I've been given I have moved all my units next door. It isn't safe place from my experience I had one of my units broke into and the insurance doesn't cover what they say. And the ownership does nothing to help. Still looks unsafe. The one positive is the current manager Curtis explains everything in a professional manner. ... Read more

We had our RV stolen after someone broke the gate to get inside. It took the facility four days to notify us. Our RV was seen on police cameras on the third day after it was stolen. Due to the delay in informing us of the theft our RV wasn't recovered. We missed the opportunity for recovery that would have happened on the third day after the theft. This place is not that big to where they wouldn't have the time to inform us of the theft within the first or second day. On top of that it took several calls to get them to refund the monthly fee they were getting after our RV was stolen. When we signed up to keep our RV there, the office person informed us that it is a safe place and that the police which is down the street drive through frequently. I just want others to know that RVs are stolen all the time from storage facilities and they should do other things to keep their property safe. I wish we had, like an anti-theft bar across the steering wheel and monitors inside our RV to know if it moved from it's location. ... Read more

Found them to be very "corporate" with lots of rules and strict in the money dept. Not a place for people in transition, especially those with fluctuating income. Very quick to send out the 14 day notice plus late fees, pre-lien fee and so on. Storage units are shipping containers so are only 8ft high and 8ft wide making it easy to get crowded and difficult to navigate in. Personnel are friendly and are generally understanding of the customer's frustrations but powerless to do anything. Owners are different. Overall, it can be a good place to store if you need 24hr access and fit the profile of a zero to low maintenance customer. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Galt 24 Hour Storage - 575 Industrial Drive include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
