Just wanted to share about my disappointment with this company and the deception given by office staff which in turn caused me to lose memorabilia from my storage. I was behind on my storage payment account by about a month and some change. I went into office around beginning September. Paid the balance in full and proceeded to let the office lady (her name was either Nancy or Tina) know that I had found an apartment and would be moving late September/ or early October. I told her I would need to gather the rest of my belongings in storage and move out so I can afford to pay my apartment rent. Well she then proceeded to tell me “well just give us a call just a few days before you need to move out and we will get that situated” I thought it was weird, because I figured I needed to put in an official notice so like why wouldn’t she let me do that, THAT day I was in office? Instead, she proceeded to tell me to call them. I took her word for it. Upon speaking w staff on the phone around the very beginning of oct I had let the actual manager know just as they directed me to do so. This woman goes on to tell me about how I cannot officially move out now because my storage is locked due to non-payment for oct. WHY WOULD I PAY oct if I’m moving out !!? She then tells me I should have given them an official move out notice and that there’s procedures I need to follow. In order to get my belongings I would have needed to pay over $200 with my latest move to an apartment, I just don’t have that to pay. I felt so disturbed because it almost seemed like this lady flat out lied to me just so they can get another payment out of me! Crooks. Now all my memorabilia I’ve had all my life is gone and mostly sad about losing my pictures of my deceased grandmother. I’ll never get those back all due to this company’s poor customer service and lack of transparency. I will never recommend them to anyone! ... Read more

My first experience awas awesome. They are so friendly and very much secured. Very festive as well. The unit I got was perfect and I love that I didn't have to use a lock. All ran by phone app. It was so cool. I suggest though having dollies or little flat rolling trailers to take your stuff to the unit but I do believe people would steal them. I need to ask that question next time I visit. ?? ... Read more

When I first arrived Tina and Nancy were nice very understanding about my situation . Then one day they were very rude Attitudes like rolling eyes at me so I asked what was wrong and said hi to Tina she just rolled her eyes at me agnoring me.. Nancy made a remark about boxes not stacked right. So I check my storage sure enough my boxes were not the same like I stack them .So I questioned them they were rude again and Botches made it clear they went in my storage without permission. So then then evicted me for saying " they're demonor change" .That proves they went through my stuff. Don't trust those two they go through your storage. I hope they didn't steal from me Hell I'll have grounds to "sue" them anyone else with complaints let's join together and go to BBB.. Get them out of there ..One star only to post or it would be zero.. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Mayfair Self Storage - 3199 East Mckinley Avenue include the following amenities: Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate, Kiosk Available, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 600 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Mayfair Self Storage - 3199 East Mckinley Avenue start from $55 and can go up to $450 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
