Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 1910 Hughes Way, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I was really greeted with kindness. Jessica is very professional helpful, courteous and kind. Jessica was able to reference my last stay and she helped me to remember size and length of my stay. I was set up for email and text messages along with having future auto payments. All convenient and easy as 3.1417653 . . . ... Read more

This will be the third unit I have rented at this Public Storage location. It is a slick operation. Mostly automated, but if you happen to have a chance to work with Maria, she will help you out. She has always been responsive and proactive when I needed a human to talk to. Thank you Maria! ... Read more

I received a call from Public Storage stating my storage unit was broken into! While I understand it wasn’t their fault and on-site staff tried their best to help me. The lack of security in this storage facility made me weary of staying there. When I moved out of my storage unit, I asked for a refund for the new month (since my lease auto renewed). However, due to their policies they were unable to give me my money back. Not only they refuse accountability for the safety of my unit, they refused to give me my refund after I had my unit stolen! I suggest looking for another storage to save you the hassle. ... Read more

I do not recommend using this Public Storage location. On September 2nd, I was billed for a full month even though I moved out the same day, and they refused to pro-rate my rent. Just a week earlier, my unit (along with several others) was broken into. While the on-site staff were friendly and tried to help, the corporate policies and lack of security make this facility a poor choice. I plan to switch to Extra Space Storage for my future storage needs. ... Read more

Our unit was burglarized. Zero stars, but Yelp is making me leave one star. I just left this location after filing a police report with ESPD and meeting with an officer onsite. The lock on our unit was cut and multiple items were stolen. I asked the woman at the front desk if units had been burglarized before and she replied with an emphatic “no, never” until the policeman arrived. At that point he referenced “the last time he was here and spoke to her about a unit burglary”. She had lied through her teeth. Your belongings are not safe at this storage facility and their security cameras are inadequate. ... Read more

Id probly avoid this location if i didn't live so close. I originally started renting in 2019 at 200 for a 5x10 with access 7 days a week from 6am -9pm. Now I pay $500 month for the same space, AND the close at 6pm. AND they close on some HOLIDAYS! It just doesn't seem worth it. Tried going on new years morning to get gear needed for an event I was working at, and they were closed. Ended up losing money from not being able to work the gig AND having my reputation tarnished. Not to mention, regular hours and weekend hours, 6pm (5pm on weekends), look i get off work at 5pm and barely have time to get there and get in before they close. This is not the service I signed up for! ... Read more

The manager at the Public Storage is great but the company is a nightmare of epic proportions - they don’t have a centralized computer system, their managers do not have access to the corporate headquarters back end nor the app. Do not use Public Storage unless you had to as I did. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 1910 Hughes Way include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
