I wish I could give them 0 stars. The front desk is never available—every time you need to speak to someone, the manager is nowhere to be found. On top of that, they run what feels like a scam with the locks. They charge you $20 for a lock, promise a refund if you bring your own and show it to them—but when you try, no one is in the office. Later, when you move out, they claim you had to do it within 10 days of moving in (something they never once explained). They even gaslight you about the locks and refuse to take them back. On top of that, I saw cockroaches and bugs on the hallways near my unit when moving out, and management brushed it off saying, “That will never happen.” This place is dishonest, frustrating, and unprofessional. Avoid at all costs. ... Read more

Picture was taken in 08/04/2025, I started renting a storage unit in 03/2025. 1 of 2 elevators has been broken since then, last week both elevators were broken, this is the 2nd time I’ve experienced this since renting, meaning everyone has to hike up all their belongings up the stairs. Management also increased rent on us by about 50$ a month. They do the bare minimum maintenance but increase prices. Also found burnt cigarette butts thrown over the ceiling of my unit, landing on my belongings. I would rarely 0/5 if I could, again. ... Read more

To access storage areas on floors other than the first, one must use the elevator. There are two elevators, but one has been out of order for a long time and has been unusable. Over the weekend, the other elevator also broke down, forcing people to use the stairs. Breakdowns can happen. However, the management couldn't even provide an answer on when it would be fixed. I want to ask them why the already broken elevator had been left unrepaired for such a long time, ultimately leading to a situation where both elevators were out of service, leaving people no choice but to carry heavy loads up and down the stairs. Over the weekend, I saw a couple who had filled a U-Haul truck with their belongings and had to move everything using the stairs. There were also entire families, including young children, each carrying a load up the stairs. Watching this made me furious. Personally, I only had small items to carry, so it wasn’t too difficult for me. However, seeing many frustrated customers swearing under their breath as they struggled up the stairs filled me with anger. ... Read more

Why would you have your carts locked up when your office is closed on a Sunday morning? Super inconvenient to move heavy items while waiting in line to go in the elevator. Called customer service to be transferred to office manager. What office manager? The office is closed, so yes leave a message. What good does that do? Have a better system! Here’s one. If you’re Adria od people stealing your carts, maybe consider putting in $10 to release the cart and in order to get your $10 back you need to return the cart? No one will want to steal the carts!!! Think about your customers and the challenges of going back to the car 10+ times! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 250 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 9141 Valley View Street start from $98 and can go up to $467 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
