New to the area. Came by this facility and met with John. Gave me a tour and the different sizes to rent. Easy to access and very clean facility. No climate control but priced real good compared to other local facilities. ... Read more

Just called and asked about storage availability. A guy who, right away, sounded like an A..hole answered the phone. A few minutes ago, I had called another storage place near by with a different name; apparently this same company owns them. Right away this idiot told me very rudely that I had just called him and hung up. Anyway, long story short, they're rude as can be and don't have anything to help you with anyway. Please go elsewhere and save yourself a lot of head ache. ... Read more

The hours of 9-6 are terrible. Not being able to access the storage after normal working hours is bad i have to take a day off just to go or only go on a weekend. Suggestion: At least leave it open 7am to 8pm. The good part is its there it's sturdy and you can make online payments. I have heavily considered leaving this storage facility. Just over the hours itself tbh. ... Read more

I wish they had less grade, so I would have given them minus. I made the appointment last week, meet with the manager on site Rich Amunson and received an email of confirmation. He asked me to come in today. Went there today to.sign the contract and get the storage. Rich could no be more rude if you paid him. All.I asked was if there is one available on first floor, he couldn't even find the one I came for. Has no desire to help and barely moved from.his chair. When I told him.that I waited 30 si far to find my paperwork, his comment was ""' I don't have anything available and suggest you go somewhere else. I asked for his supervisor number which he refused, I found it anyway and will contact them tomorrow. Horrible place, nasty attitude, poor customer service. Pick another place if you can. ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at StorCal Self Storage - 20525 Nordhoff Street #39 include the following amenities: Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
