Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 7640 Fair Oaks Blvd, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

This facility will take zero accountability if your storage gets broken into and stolen. The mandatory insurance won't cover any stolen or damaged items unless you have receipts for every single item you store. Public Storage left their gate wide open for two months and during that time our unit was broken into on the public storage provided lock, somehow the lock wasn't just cut but missing, so insurance claims no damage was done to the lock so they won't cover. Suspicious. Once public storage notified us of our unit being broken into they provided another lock. After filing a police report the officer mentioned the gate has been left open and there have been many break ins since December. We rented a U-haul to come empty what was left in the unit and noticed we had been hit a SECOND TIME! Once again it was the public storage provided lock that this time we found cut. We really think that public storage has something to do with this and at the very least they have been negligent. If you value your items, do not store here, it's not worth the never ending increasing of rates, violation of privacy, rats, roaches, and break ins. Store literally anywhere else. Don't fall for their paid for 5 star reviews, this place is a dump and the staff will not help you. ... Read more

Worst place to store your items. There are always “sketchy” people around the facility and the gate usually wide open. We got our unit broken into. When filed the police report, the officer told us that they had 15 break ins in 2025. Management is almost non-existent and I almost want to say that if he lives there, he may be part of the scam. How can he not know what goes on? The place is also rat infested and always dirty. If you do rent here, I advise you to use 2 pad locks and check in every week. Thieves broke our lock and put one of their own. We thought all was good until we tried to get in our key didn’t work. To top it all off, our rates were going to go up. Poor business, but I guess they keep it up because people keep renting those units. Be aware. ... Read more

I nearly passed the place up, but once I got in, David was such a great help to me. He was so patient and answered all my questions. I was a bit frazzled with nearly missing it. But he walked me through the best options for me and was very professional and kind. ... Read more

So I had originally given this company only one star for the horrible treatment and experience I had due to a few of there employees. But I am coming on here to now change it sense I got a call from one of the higher up bosses. He called and was very respectful and understanding of the whole situation and is making it right. I’m not changing the review just cause it’s being made right but the fact that he actually cared enough to call, hear me out, and make it right. And honestly that’s refreshing to have the management in a company actually care and take the time to reach out and fix it. So because of that I am changing my stars to 4. Thank you for your call today I really appreciate it. ... Read more

I just transferred from one unit to another and Aaron helped me out. Every time I’m there I see him and he’s always asking me how I’m doing and definitely takes pride in his job anytime I’ve ever needed anything he has helped me out and made my experience in public storage awesome. If only every business, had somebody like this. I can’t imagine a better candidate for the job. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 7640 Fair Oaks Blvd start from $57 and can go up to $334 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
