When they say climate-controlled, they’re pushing it. It’s climate controlled at 82-85F which is not ideal for electronics, wood furniture, etc. This is in the summer. They can’t process a refund either if you got the storage previous day. I moved from Arizona to California. Im not able to check the unit the same day. ... Read more

They are literally holding my stuff hostage. I’ve had a storage unit at this public storage for over 2 years and have never missed a payment. A while back I needed a new lock and key made but had to get back to work so public storage held on to the key for me to pick up. I tried to come pick it up about 6 different times but no one was ever in the office. I tried in the morning, in the evening, but no one was ever here to give me my key. Finally I started making appointments to come in but no one would show up for those either. Griselda promised time and time again that she would be here to give me my key but every time I showed up for our appointment, she wasn’t here. Today we had an appointment at 12 which she shockingly wasn’t here for. I waited around and finally she rolled in at 12:30. I would love to continue to keep my stuff in storage here but I’m just now having access to my stuff that I needed access to over 6 months ago. I wasn’t planning on emptying my unit out today but I’m afraid if I don’t I won’t be able to get my stuff back for another 6 months. Use another company or location, don’t waste your money here. Don’t pay 300 a month to have your stuff held hostage. ... Read more

My one and only storage place for the past two decades. Good location, climate controlled, and the best employees, like Kevin. I kept thinking my monthly rent was high, and wanting to keep my business, he immediately requested my account be re-evaluated. He saved me over $100 a month just like that. Customer service at its best. Also, he cleared up a credit card issue I had and was beyond friendly. That's why I stay. Thanks again, Kevin, for providing awesome service and Public Storage for keeping my things safe! ... Read more

Terrible experience here. I came around 2pm and there was no employee there to help open up my friend’s storage. We had to come back an hour later and luckily someone was there. Then we wanted to throw a couple bags away but the dumpster is locked, when we asked the guy to open it he refused. There are no other trash cans on the property so we had to take the trash with us. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 2240 North Hollywood Way include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 45 to 150 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 2240 North Hollywood Way start from $201 and can go up to $395 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
