What customers are saying

4.6/5 - 624 Reviews

Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 1120 2nd Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Storage facility has flooded at least 3 times in the past four years. The property knows it and conceals it from new tenants. They will increase your rent by between 50-75% after you’ve been there for one year. Facility has had repeated rodent problems. Don’t trust the huge number of five star reviews, after all lmao who bothers writing an overwhelmingly positive review of their storage facility? You just don’t. It’s storage. You pay, they keep your stuff, you don’t think about it. Those reviews are spam. Also note that they only respond on here to the positive reviews, making it even more clear they’re posting the reviews themselves and responding right away as the business. If they were genuinely engaging, they would respond to the negative reviews as well. Avoid at all costs. ... Read more

I just had the best experience with Maria putting all of my life’s treasures into storage. On a day when everything is so hard (moving!) what a treat to be treated well. Maria patiently helped me figure out what I needed to move in and then followed up hecka promptly changing my gate code after I gave it out to my movers. I feel so lucky to have chosen this Public Storage! Also the facility is well maintained with everything extra clean and a very clean bathroom to boot! ... Read more

Service was very unhelpful. The storage space was very dirty, littered with rat poop, and had a dead rat. There were no pushcarts available when we came on a weekday afternoon, so we had to manually carry all items up. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 1120 2nd Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 20 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 1120 2nd Street start from $49 and can go up to $859 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
