I have been storing my rv here for over a year with zero problems. No vandalism or damage due to insects or animals has occurred. Owner is easy going and the yard is full of security cameras. This is a nice cheap place to store an rv or boat. ... Read more

Do NOT store here they have epidemic break-ins but say nothing until it happens, then you find out ongoing problem. You are a fool to even pick up the phone and call unless you have full coverage and WANT to get rid of your RV by being vandalized and robbed to the point the insurance totals it. Owner then says if you had a trailer I would have said take your propane tanks and batteries but you have an RV. They busted every lock on the RV including prying the door open and all the bays they stole everything out of every Bay and they drilled a hole in the gas tank and drained every drop of gas but vapors. Then they got into the RV and stole all the pharmaceutical stuff in the closet like cold medicine and stuff all the toilet paper, all the food the VCR, my brace for my disability that's irreplaceable. They stole the solar charge controller a lot of the wire stole batteries as well as stole the inverter a very expensive 3000 Watt inverter. They did about $18,000 worth of damage. The RV is basically a total loss it's worth a little bit more but the amount of time and money it's just basically a loss. Do Not patronize this place!!! ... Read more

We were long time renters of 3 years, we had up to 5 trailers and/or a boat at this location, every month for 3 years. In this time we have had a dump trailer there full time other than the occasional times we use it (maybe once or twice a month, if even that). On Saturday 08/23/20 I received an unfriendly text telling me to get 2 of my trailers out of there as this was for private RVs and is "no place to conduct business out of their business"? Let it be noted that there is a flat bed, a food trailer (I think hot dog) and other "non private RVs on this lot. As a side note: When we originally started renting there I had told him we had trailers with our work equipment in it and it wasn't a problem for him, so why all of a sudden 3 years later with NO notice (written or verbal). The owner said that he "sees our trailers leaving 4x a day". I thought he might be mixing me up with another client since we only use our work trailers a couple times a month if even that, so I politely apologized and asked what happened as we don't use our trailers much, let alone daily? Trying to rectify the situation I pointed out that we've been there for 3 years, we don't do business out of his business we just store out trailers while not in use (since we have so many, there's no place at our shop and we live in an HOA). I asked what happened so I could implement company policy to prevent it in future and asked for another chance (still not knowing what we even did wrong). He wrote back that it wasn't negotiable and to get my 2 trailers out of there. He then called me and started yelling at me that he saw on the camera a rock or something in the dump trailer (unfortunately the dump was closed by the time we got back in town, so we put it in our storage space that night and took it to the dump 1st thing the next morning). I tried to explain that I was confused because we hardly use the trailers and tried to explain that the dump was closed but he cut me off and he kept yelling at me to "GET THEM OUT OF THERE!" He said you either get IT out of there or get them all out. I'm not entirely sure what happened, but this completely ruined my weekend and is no way to talk to a client, let alone a woman who didn't do anything to aggravate the situation. I apologized via text, again on the phone, wasn't argumentative. I was trying to understand what the problem was so we could fix it. He wouldn't bother to have an adult conversation but instead proceeded like a child having a temper tantrum. We moved all of our trailers to Derrel's on Calloway, the facility is way nicer, much more secure and it was only pennies more expensive. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Affordable RV Storage - 3858 Allen Road include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Enclosed and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
