I used A RV Storage for my Airstream motorhome for over 3 and was above and beyond happy with how they managed everything from billing, maintenance of the grounds, and security. Julie is wonderful to work with and always makes sure that security is the priority. I was lucky to find a spot at their location and would definitely recommend them! ... Read more

We were extremely happy with the work. The tech is amazing at modifications and lowered the RV Bed frame so that it looks factory installed. It was Exactly what we asked for. We WILL be taking all future repairs and modifications to them. Thanks so much A-RV!!!! ... Read more

In my 20 years of renting from storage companies, I have never come across a more professional group of staff and expert service as I have received from A-RV. They make storage a pleasure.you need something done, they kick into gear, their communication, billing, customer service, storage and repair sets the bar for other services to follow. Huge thank you, two thumbs up Torsten ... Read more

This is an honest review from my Santa Clarita home, three hours from A-RV in Arroyo Grande. Our son graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo on June 10, 2012. My folks drove down from Washington State for the event, and since we have a motorhome I thought it would be nice to set them up with a delivered RV for both of us to spend a long weekend at Pismo Coast Village. Though we’ve never used this kind of RV delivery and pickup service before, I looked online around the local area and contacted several rental facilities. We decided on A-RV because of their reasonable price, helpful information and rapid communication. Because I’m a planner, we booked a 35 foot trailer on February 8 for our June arrival. I checked in with Tyler at A-RV several times after the booking, primarily because we’ve had some drive-away motorhome rental issues in years past. To tell the truth, I really didn’t trust the transaction so I stayed on top of it, but Tyler came back immediately every time telling me that all was good and not to worry. As we approached June, I thought about A-RV’s service offering and my own motorhome. Our main awning had been troublesome for years, and I called to ask if they could fix it on the spot if I arrived when they opened on the day of our arrival to the area. I emailed some documents for my awning to the service manager Herminio so they would know ahead of time what they’d be working with. When we arrived on June 8, they were all over it. Tyler had the rental trailer out and showed it to us. The tires had Armor-All and everything! We talked about the delivery time to the campground and he disappeared to prepare his day. Herminio brought our motorhome to the service area, where a technician immediately spoke to us about the awing issues before he got after them. We expected to wait at least a few hours for the repairs, which was no problem since we arrived early. Shortly thereafter we were offered a ride to Pismo by Julie so my wife and I could goof off and have breakfast instead of sitting in the service area. We accepted the 20 minute ride and did just that…..goofed off. This actually worked out awesome because we were able to go to the campground to check on our sites as necessary to communicate with Tyler about the trailer delivery time. Did I mention we goofed off too? Communication is everything and it was here as well. Tyler just happened to be delivering another trailer to the campground around Noon, so we hitched a ride back with him from the campground to A-RV. Our motorhome was done and we settled up with them while Tyler hitched up our rental. We pulled into Pismo Coast Village and into our spot, where we met with my folks. Minutes later Tyler pulled in with the rental trailer, asked me where I wanted it, completely set it up, showed my folks how to work everything, shook our hands and he was gone…..just like that. The only other time I talked to Tyler was to call him with the time to come pick up the trailer. My wife and I own a construction company, so we’re business people. As such we operate several thousand transactions every year. Our premise is absolute Customer Service and I can tell you right here that A-RV follows that mantra. What made me a little apprehensive in the beginning turned out to be one of the smoothest experiences I’ve ever had. The rental RV was very nice and everything happened on the clock. Unfortunately today we find less and less that commands this kind of praise. A-RV is the real deal and if you are in need of their services I am telling you right now to contact them immediately. What a pleasure! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at ARV Storage-Repair - 925 Sheridan Road include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Keyless Unit Access and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
