I've only had my storage for about 2 weeks and within these two weeks I've had problems with the property. I was told to get the wrong lock, so I got one from ace hardware, took two trips before I just left my unit and had to come back the next day and buy locks. It was the cam shift ones. The few days after I got stuck trying to exit the storage facility, had to call the after hours number so they can contact the manager and then we had to talk and then she was able to open it. Then the next day, which is today, I came to the unit, I know the office doesn't open until 10am. I was there at 9:30, tried to open my unit, I'm in the hallways unit, didn't know that there was a combination for the lock code, because every time I came it was already opened and I was able to open the door and get Into my unit. Got there and couldn't get in because I was never given the combo code, at 10 am I called the office and nobody answered. Went to the door and nobody answered. Stayed there for an hour and still nobody was in the office, they should be opened from 10am - 6pm. I left at 10:48 and nobody was still there. I need to get into my unit and can't. This is unacceptable. I'm paying for a unit and had problems for the last two weeks. Update: came back at 12:30 still no one was in the office. The closed sign is still up and the "will return sign" still has 10am, so no one has been in this office since yesterday. It's really frustrating and once I get my access I'm thinking of putting all my things into public storage which is right next door. ... Read more

This place will let anybody break in, vandalize, and steal anyone's property in the units they have rented. They will offer nothing, no reimbursement, no information, and overall no help. There is a larger woman at the desk who will not give her name or management's or corporate's number. These people are useless and frustrating and it is absurd that other people's possessions are not safe if your storage unit. To top it off, the lady at the front desk is disgusting. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at West Coast Self Storage - 815 Sunset Drive include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Enclosed, Keyless Unit Access, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 1,100 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by West Coast Self Storage - 815 Sunset Drive start from $54 and can go up to $1,099 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
