Review (0 stars): I just want to warn everyone about this storage facility—this location is terrible. Be very careful with your belongings because the security here is completely unreliable. The staff is irresponsible and does not monitor who enters or exits the storage area. My storage unit and the 3 other storage was broken on last Sunday around 7:00 AM by two people who had access code. The thieves entered by a white Toyota with an access code. Despite having two locks on my unit, they were broken. All my valuable tools were stolen. After looking at other reviews, I realized that theft has happened here multiple times, the last one was a month ago and yet management never informed renters or took any steps to improve security. They just collect money and they don’t identify who rent units, no security and monitoring during the hours of operation! I have personally seen suspicious cars parked inside the facility for an entire day with people sitting inside just watching other units, observing renters with their stuff. The management didn’t even check on these suspicious activities or warn customers. I am extremely dissatisfied with this facility. This place is constantly targeted by thieves, and the management does nothing about it. If I could give negative stars, I absolutely would. Stay away from this storage facility! ... Read more

Located on Lakeview in Anaheim. Don’t rent here unless you get an outside drive up unit even then is risky. Interior units have beat up fragile doors can be easily manipulated. Somehow my unit was burglarized even though I had 2 locks they have cameras and employee living on site didn’t do any good. Even worse happened during gate hours. They don’t do anything to help you just call police & hope they have time to investigate. This entire area is ridden with crime take your precautions & research the area looks nice but it’s a fake illusion of reality criminals flock to this area & get away easily no one is expecting this area to be ghetto but it is. Homeless people living out of the units hanging out in cars all day probably watching ppl and waiting to commit a crime. Also employees are sketchy they claim to know things but don’t share with tenants, no incident report even though their property was damaged as well. My unit was left open all day & night while they say a vendor was coming who nvr showed up to repair the lock. The officer even told me this area is not good & the facility is outdated, recommended I use extrastorage facility b/c they have concrete interior walls units are completely sealed off vs this place has wood panels & drywall with openings at the top. He said criminals can sometimes burglarize from inside climbing or cutting through the walls hitting multiple units at a time. Lived 20 years in IE no problems quiet & safe, moved to Anaheim to be closer to work nothing but problems, expensive, over rated & poor customer service. ... Read more

I just got the chance to review this place, stored some items in a unit here with a friend under his name. But the facility here is great. Dalia gave us a review card since I think the ends of November but I never got the chance to. But she is a good worker she helped us a lot we didn’t know we had until the end of the month to move our items out to avoid the cost of next months rent. She let us borrow the cart too. The place is always clean. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 1290 North Lakeview Avenue include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 250 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 1290 North Lakeview Avenue start from $52 and can go up to $511 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
