It seems like everybody’s moving to Dallas these days! The third fastest growing city in the U.S. – in terms of population and economy – appeals to cohorts of millennials and professionals. What makes Big D such a hot spot? Could it be the great year-round weather? Or the exciting sports events (Go Cowboys!)? The answers are yes and yes, but there’s so much more to it. The thriving business environment, consistent job growth, and emerging tech industry are among the main reasons to settle in this Texan city.
Due to the new wave of residents, Dallas is experiencing a higher demand in housing, which is keeping the construction sector busy. There are plenty of apartments available for rent and more are on their way. As for the prices, the average asking rent is around $1,074 a month as of September, according to Yardi Matrix, which is still below the national average.
For even lower rents, how about renting a studio? This is an appealing option for many students and young professionals living in or relocating to the city. With an average price of around $750 a month and an average size of 500 sq. ft., the affordable Dallas studios enable renters to enjoy an urban lifestyle for less money.
While posh units close to the city’s core have a higher monthly rent, those located further out in the ‘burbs can be a more pocket-friendly solution. Check out the rental prices for 5 great studios around Dallas and pick the one that best caters to your taste and budget:
