El Royale ApartmentsEver wondered what it’s like to live in a fancy residence swarming with famed TV stars? Residents of El Royale in Los Angeles have had the chance to be next door neighbors with some of Hollywood’s most cherished faces, from good old classics like Loretta Lynn or Clark Gable to Uma Thurman, Katie Holmes or Ben Stiller.

Boasting an impressive design and world class elegance, with elements that remind of the French and Spanish Renaissance architecture, the structure was initially constructed as a hotel by the same architect as the Chateau Marmont. In 1986, El Royale was named a Cultural Monument by the City of Los Angeles. Many of the building’s original architectural features have been preserved to this day, including ornate moldings, herringbone floors and original 1920’s tiled bathrooms, making it a unique example of the splendor of the past. It’s like a surreal place where cultures collide, a piece of Paris and New York with the specific sparkle of L.A. life.

In a recent deal that may be the largest price-per-unit sale in Los Angeles history according to the L.A. Times, the 56-unit rental apartment building traded hands for nearly $30 million or $526,786 per unit.

The El Royale is located in historic Hancock Park, a great neighborhood nestled between Beverly Hills, Hollywood, and downtown Los Angeles, providing its residents with a truly one-of-a-kind lifestyle and a short commute to the city’s key employment hubs. The community is within walking distance to many recreational facilities, parks and entertainment options, including Wilshire Country Club and Larchmont Village, an animated shopping district filled with lovely shops, trendy clothing stores, and upscale eateries.

If you’re a fan of Hollywood glamor and its lively history, then Hancock Park might be the place for you. Beautiful and cozy, this traditional L.A. enclave features tree-lined streets and lavish mansions, quaint single-homes, vibrant LA apartment communities and good schools.
