The Best Deals on Rent: Find Great Value for Ridiculous Prices in Miami

Finding a bargain rental in a giant metropolis like Miami can be a head scratcher… Especially if you want to stay as close to Downtown as possible. According to Yardi Matrix, the average rent in the Magic City is currently $1,452 and swankier communities often command well over six grand per month.

In a word, we can relate to the struggle. All hope is not lost however, as there are lots of apartments for rent in Miami that shouldn’t burn a hole in your pocket—that’s why we decided to take a look at some of the best low-cost apartments in Miami. Check them out, some of these are surprisingly wallet-friendly.

Westview Garden ApartmentsWestview – rents starting at $396 – Check Availability

Westview Garden Apartments

Snowbirds, check this out! Westview Garden Apartments offers a great alternative if you wish to leave the rough weather behind. A couple of one-bed, one-bath units are available for as low as $396, and for $862 you can opt for a more generous, 800-square-foot, two-bedroom apartment with just as many bathrooms.  You’re free to bring in your pets, play racquetball with friends and chill out in the swimming pool, but I’ll stop here because the list of amenities is way too long to enumerate.

Northpark at Scott Carver Apartments  – Gladeview – rents starting at $683 – Check Availability

Northpark at Scott Carver Apartments

You may have to look really hard to find a better deal in Miami. Northpark at Scott Carver Apartments is conveniently located in the Liberty City area of the Gladeview neighborhood, with access to major highways. Northside Shopping Center and a Walmart Supercenter are within walking distance, as well as Arcola Lakes Park. The studio units are a steal for $683 per month, and the two-bedroom townhouses are also very reasonably priced. Check them out before it’s too late!

Santa ClaraAllapattah – rents starting at $721 – Check Availability

Santa Clara

I might have said there’s no better deal than the above listing, but Santa Clara is certainly up there if I come to think of it… Although prices start slightly higher, the difference is actually negligible if location is an important factor for you. The property is a lot closer to downtown and amenity-wise it’s just as well equipped as Northpark at Scott Carver Apartments, if not better. Three-bedroom apartments under $1,000 are rare finds, especially in such good locations, so don’t hesitate much or you might miss out…

Sunshine Lakes ApartmentsPinewood– rents starting at $955 – Check Availability

Sunshine Lakes Apartments

Child-friendly retreats like this one are rare, especially for this kind of money. Tranquility is scarce in such a busy city, and it probably doesn’t get much more peaceful in Miami than at Sunshine Lakes. The community is literally surrounded by a lake, so construction- and traffic noise will never be a concern. Not to mention the long evening walks you could take on the lakeshore… If you hurry, you may be able to catch a one of a kind deal and live a truly quiet life in the heart of the city.

Harbour KeyTree Top – rents starting at $1,115 – Check Availability

If the southern suburbs are more appealing to you, make sure to take a look at this listing. Located just a few corners from the Palms At Town & Country shopping center and Dadeland Mall, Harbour Key also has great access to the Turnpike. Some of the apartments are freshly renovated and the 730-square-foot one one-bed, one-bath Pelican floor plans are just barely above the $1,000 threshold. Grab it while it’s hot!

Harbour Key

This is just a narrow selection, but make sure to check out RentCafe for the full experience as we have low-cost rentals in Miami catering for all tastes and budgets.
