Overall negative during nearly 5-6 years of tenancy

There have been small blips of satisfactory interaction with management, but overall the experience has been unremarkable and largely frustrating. Much of what is unfavorable about the building can be changed and fixed by management (and -most importantly- the ownership that accepted Pillar's bid for the property in 2016/2017). When I transferred in to my current unit 2 years ago, the fixtures/appliances/flooring were all original - and still are. That's now 12 years of use for vinyl in the bathroom and carpeting in the bedrooms that should have been replaced at the time of my move in. My blinds, as well, were in such terrible condition that they were thrown out - and then not replaced for 3-4 months even though more than 5 attempts were made by multiple people to properly measure and order these. I was offered makeshift curtains for my bedroom "for my privacy" by management that I refused (for a variety of reasons). My apartment wasn't even so much as cleaned prior to my move in, let alone other things like a fresh coat of paint, or checking appliances to make sure they are clean and working properly (which they weren't). My dishwasher and washing machine are still in poor condition (which is why I logged in today). Although some simple requests were completed, the majority of my maintenance requests were not done well. The last time someone checked my dishwasher, he said nothing was wrong with it, used a towel to wipe away the grime at the bottom, and called it a day. The only way for me to have a clean dishwasher now is to physically clean it by hand - and side note, I do not use it to wash dishes, I only use it as a drying rack for my handwashed/clean dishes. For reference, I did not have this problem in the former unit. I even personally fixed the wall in the bathroom (fixing the poor patchwork and sanding to refinish the wall, then painting all walls with bright white). I've run out of space here - but otherwise would continue with a list of other experiences.

Staff quality have degraded

The manager dont respond to emails for days. Frequency of hallway cleaning have been drastically reduced.
