Rooftop views sold me on it

4730 California is the best option in Alaska Junction! Despite rising market prices, this property has relatively-competitive rental options for the area, which is a burgeoning mecca. The rooftop view is seriously the best around: breathtaking sunsets over the Olympic mountain range never get old. On top of that, there's a fire pit, 2 BBQ's, a dog run, and plenty of space to host parties in the warmer months. 4730 has a decently-equipped fitness room, dog grooming room, large lobby area suited for business/social gatherings, storage units of varying sizes, and a gated parking garage below street level. The leasing & maintenance team is top-notch, addressing all questions/requests in a timely and professional manner. (And Spencer, the Maintenance Supervisor is a one-man army: springing to action in an emergency and always busy but cheerful!) Finally, the apartments themselves are all furnished with modern appliances, have decent floor plans with vinyl plank flooring, light fixtures in the bedrooms, and half of them face the Puget Sound. Although the casement windows can be fussy, and there's no AC, the units look nice and the walls are thick so you barely have to worry about noisy neighbors! All-in-all: a great place to live, with plenty of things to do/places to eat within walking distance, an unbeatable view, and charming staff. This place really does feel like home. :D

Love the staff

The staff is amazing. So helpful and attentive. From maintenance to management, I am so happy with the level of care I have received. Location is perfect, everything is walkable. I felt bait-and-switched after paying for some utilities that had a noted increase in monthly rent. Also, the renewal rate is much higher than I think is fair. They upped it the most they could without having to provide any help in relocation. Rent is already high, I will likely have to move out as I cannot afford the extra 250 dollars a month they are asking. Parking is a bit of a nightmare. I think they tried to do the best they could with the space they had, but they've squeezed too many spaces in. Some of the spots are impossible to get in and out of. That being said, management was very helpful when I brought this to their attention. Again, staff is amazing, I cannot say that enough. All in all, I love this apartment, and I love the staff. I would happily stay here for years, if the rate did not increase as dramatically as it has. Thank you. Shout out to Izzy and Axle. They are incredible and I feel very lucky to have them.

Could be betrer

No guest or visitor parking makes it difficult. Also for how expensive resident parking is, the space is so small I can’t hardly fit my pretty standard sized car without scraping a pole. The line is drawn in the middle of the pole. If someone is parked beside me I literally can’t get in because of the flawed design. The gym is small but really nice. The lobbies are well maintained and the coffee machine is great. Would be cool to have a pool table or something encouraging social interactions. Overall I love living here. The parking is the only real issue. It’s expensive and poorly designed.

good living

been great living here so far. communication between management has been quick and easy which is one of the biggest concerns for me. lovely space and great location, car isn't needed because its near the bus station which is also a huge plus.

Slowly going downhill

This place has so much to offer but has started to go downhill for some reason. Management, sales reps, and maintenance have changed numerous times in just the one year we've lived here, resulting in lack of communication, billing mistakes, and unreliable, and sometimes rude service. Many of the amenities have been either taken away completely or not attended to. The Peleton has been out of order for at least 3 months, the fridge in the lobby was stocked beautifully for about 2 weeks when Covid protocols finally allowed it and then suddenly returned to it's sad, emptiness. The plants on the rooftop were all allowed to die this summer. The fire pit pilot light doesn't work. Our bike was stolen out of the garage the first week we lived here, we reported it but no notice was sent out to warn others and more bikes ended up getting stolen. I understand that Covid has caused a lot of difficulties, but its a shame to see things going downhill at such a beautiful place.
