Read some helpful reviews of SecureSpace Self Storage at 2328 Harbor Avenue SW, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

*Vivia* did an excellent job making things right and getting me moved in quickly on Sat; after my initial move the day was blown by no staff at all on site all day Fri. and no answers to calls after driving over there. Terri and Tony were also helpful previously, but were not there in the end. Seems to be poor corporate oversight with adequate staffing and and having calls answered; the call center couldnt do anything but say "no one is picking up". Pay for substitute or on call staff at least 9-5 m-f. So some good customer service when the right hands but something is systemically off. ... Read more

If you need great service and a clean storage space, look no further than West Seattle Storage Space. The check-in process was quick and easy, thanks to the friendly and hardworking staff—especially Lindsey R. Lindsey was incredibly helpful, answered all of our questions about storage unit sizes, and even walked us through accessing our space and important safety tips. She truly went above and beyond. Now that’s customer service! Thank you so much, Lindsey R.! ... Read more

The man behind the mystery Tony is well worth the reception and time for a deal on storage. I spent 4 hours online looking for the cheapest deal and you think Tony would be cheap but no he took the time to listen to me talk through a rather rough patch in life like getting out of the jaws of life right before it tears you apart was good to have a 100 % quality listener someone who cared to a necessary degree or level. Overall I give it a 5 out 5 or 10 out of 10 Finally, a Man from Storage out to be there for a great deal for the people. ... Read more

Larry Meacham has been beyond helpful and wonderful to me!!! I moved up from LA and needed more than one unit for all my things. The facility is very clean and the prices are extremely affordable. I feel that my things are incredibly safe at StorQuest while I wait for my new apartment to be ready. Larry is the BEST!!! ... Read more

Changed units to a hell hole. Now being tortured by a high-pitched alarm that has been going off for a month that they won't fix. No manager or staff around. They messed up the 28-page lease, again with the wrong price and took the money. No help to fix this mess. Their corporate email bounces back. Securespace must hate customers. West Coast storage is next door, moving there soon! ... Read more

BEWARE. They are cheap because they get ya! They started off ok and they DO keep the place clean, but they will overcharge keeping autopay going after move out and no corporate help, just a generic call center. Staff don't know much and can't help fix anything with accounts. If you do reserve a unit then end up renting they bait & switch so watch out, they will show you higher price units. You won't be able to tell because their tech is so bad you can't sign a lease on your phone. And yes they jack the rent every 3 months, they do not want long-term loyal customers. ... Read more

Won an auction at this site, got there items had been removed and tampered with. Wasted 3 hours with my drive time. I did refuse to buy the unit, employee was helpful but the fact items were missing after it was secured by the staff shows it has at least one dishonest person working there. ... Read more

Cannot understate how badly run this place is. The manager never seems to be around and/or is impossible to contact. 3/4 of the time the lower parking lot is covered in trash and abandoned items that won't be dealt with for weeks. The lower doors were broken at one point and couldn't be used for about 5 months. If you want to dispute a junk fee, they give the runaround to corporate who will refuse to do anything at well. That's to say nothing of how quickly they raise your rent. After about a year and a half here, our rent doubled. All the good reviews are because the staff are super nice and helpful initially and ask you fill out a review for them. Even if it's a decent rate and convenient location, I recommend staying clear of this place. ... Read more

I had the best experience the first day I moved in to a small unit a little more than a year ago. I wasn’t really happy with the price going up 4 months later then 6 months after that by 48% and 32% respectively, then I got charged for insurance because they said that my own rental insurance I was using expired, when I emailed them the proof of insurance that was renewed, I received an email that I will get a credit on my next statement. When that didn’t happen and I called, the manager, who was very rude, refused to give me credit and refused to give me the contact information of who she reports to; her response to me is that she didn’t have an updated proof of insurance for the month I was requesting the credit for, and even though my new insurance had a starting date of the day the previous one expired, and I told her I have it on auto renewal, she said she can’t prove that. I know that these are tricks they use to get you to move in and they know it’s harder for people to move out, I see that would work for people renting large units, but not for people like me renting 5”x5” to store a Christmas tree and few other things that are used seasonally. Fortunately I only had the smallest unit and since the manager forced me to move out, I was able to fit everything in my small storage unit at home. So at the end I’d like to say thank you to that manager for saving me money every month; and sorry for the company that she works for, she is costing them a lot of money. ... Read more

I've been moving into this unit over the last few days. I barely have been here and I'm not even finished moving in. It seemed like a good deal, nice and new and cheap. However I have a few issues. The size of my unit is supposed to be 10x15. It is almost ten feet. And only almost 15 feet until about 4 feet into the unit where the wall bumps out and the remainder of the unit is maybe 8 feet in width only. My issue is that it was advertised on their site as saying 10x15 with no mention of obstructions, and no square footage listed. Hugely misleading. The other night I was here late, i left around 950 and I knew the hours were until 10 pm. I had been informed that the rules are very strict and that any violation of the rules was going to get my access hours cut to office hours only. So when I ran out the door and saw the clock I thought I was good. Because of the time restraint I had to kind of push everything out the door as fast as I could and I packed up my stuff outside in the parking lot. So that is where I messed up apparently, because even though I was outside of the limits of my access code, I was still in violation of the rules. Today I was informed that the rules are that I can not be on the property at all past 10 pm. Which in all fairness is probably what the woman told me the other day when I was getting shown to my unit. But I didn't take it 100% literally. I assumed that outside the access box was going to suffice. But no. Without any warnings I now can only be here until 5 pm. Basically it takes away almost my only available time to come in to deal with my storage. As I was walking out of the office some other people made the comment to me that they had their hours reduced as well for being in the parking lot still at ten. This is absurd. I was past no gate, I was not in any actual position of doing any harm to anything. Somebody is taking their job too seriously. And now I have to move because it just doesn't function for me to only be here after 5. Moving in here was a huge waste of money and time. And I'm homeless and jobless right now. I don't even know that I'm going to be able to get the money to move anytime soon and I wouldn't be surprised if I end up losing this unit and the last one I was in that's only half moved. Thank you so much secure storage. This is a huge disappointment and just another reason the cycle of homelessness continues ... Read more

Renter Beware: I thought we really found a good place with good pricing, although it is considerably good price for the area, I do not appreciate the way they do business. We JUST entered in November, we started with a monthly rate of $46 for 10x10 which in unbeatable, plus to top it all off, they offered half off the first two months which came up to $23 for each month for the first two months. November and December were fine, payment was made timely by auto pay and no unknown charges to my account. Now, I just got a notice that my price nearly DOUBLED, starting April. From $46 it went up to $82.80 just $10 shy of the price being doubled. What a SHAME, I have only been renting 4 months now, March is going to be my 5th month of rental. Not even 6 months and they’ve already nearly doubled the price. When we first rented I have discussed prices increase with the facility manager, she said that if the price increases we could request a review, however, she did not mention it is only ONE review per account for the entire rental period. I called the facility today and discussed potentially reviewing the increase but she said she does not recommend “wasting” my one time review, she said price went up according to market value and what they offer today is $78 for 10x10. Mine is a little bit more, she did mention that the price I originally received was introductory pricing. The manager mentioned that mine is probably a little more that the market value because of how close it is to the elevator, which is a nonsense, I have to walk more than 300 feet to get to my unit, nothing sort of close to the elevator. While I do understand they’re in the business of making profit, nothing is free in life, but I would’ve never expected double the price in less than 6 months of rental. I am very very disappointed and looking for other solutions for our belongings. This is not a way to do business, if you want a long term clients and care for clients loyalty. Otherwise you’ll constantly deal with searching for new clients and all your clients will most likely be short term clients. I do understand increasing prices, especially once yearly, but nothing right within the first 6 months, and not doubling prices. If I knew it was so called “introductory” prices and it will go up I would’ve never bothered moving from our old storage facility to this one, definitely not worth the hassle. Also, they would not let me move into the same size unit, I was trying to reduce the price to a less desirable unit, and the unit size is not actual 10x10 is smaller because of studs that are located inside the unit. Also they offered me when signing the contract to pay for a full year in advance, sorry the average person does not have that much saved to spend, especially in this cost of living. I can’t speak on any good so far, the manager seems like a nice person, but everything else comes from corporate offices is not worth it. The response from the corporate means nothing. I know they won’t do anything about it because they pulled this trick on others. Stay Away! ... Read more

Update: I received my refund! Thank you. 2/27/25 I am not a person to give bad reviews. But I have had a bad experience with this company. The woman at the front desk is amazing! But I have not been able to get the refund that I was promised. I rented the unit and the following morning my plans to move fell apart. It was just before Christmas and it was beyond stressful. I called Secure Space and Let them know my predicament. They agreed to refund my rent as I had cancelled within 24 hours and I never even set foot into the unit. Well I have called several times and still no refund. What I can say is they are very friendly and the storage facility is bright and Spotless. This is not good business practice and I can’t recommend them. ... Read more

Overall, my experience was great however, it was advertised as climate controlled, and it is not at all climate controlled. The units are open at the top and secure however, it would be easy to get inside the unit just by pulling back a little flashing. Not worth the $91 a month. ... Read more

Reserved a 10' x 20' unit and signed online documents that included the for 2 months at half price. Went to the counter to verify my ID and was told those rates were in error. Had to sign for another unit of the same dimensions with only the first month at half off. No big deal, but they didn't honor the online price the unit was advertised for. The unit I was assigned wasn't 10' x 20' and instead 200 sq ft. See pictures. No big deal, but still. The vent in the unit to the outside makes me a bit nervous because of bugs, but we'll see. ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at SecureSpace Self Storage - 2328 Harbor Avenue SW include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by SecureSpace Self Storage - 2328 Harbor Avenue SW start from $21 and can go up to $413 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
