Office staff very rude and condescending

My experience with maintenance staff has been overwhelmingly positive. But the office staff are unfriendly, unhelpful, and at times unprofessional. The office ladies are usually very friendly but one time I called in, a guy answered the phone and just proceeded to sound sarcastic and condescending. He was not helpful at all or reassuring about my issue.

Price too expensive for the area

Pros: The maintenance staff is awesome and fast to respond to requests. Cons: I started my lease at 1500/mo for a 1 bed, 1 bath before utilities but at each renewal stage, they up the rent by $100 citing a rising "market value." My apartment is street side and throughout the day or night, you would hear car engines revving and racing in the streets. Electrical outlets are worn and loose. Screen wire on windows and sliding door are either torn or worn. If you notice bugs in your apartment after opening a window, it's probably a torn screen wire. Also, whatever notice The Ridge and the Shores sends you either by email or door postage, check that the rules they set is in compliance with the lease you signed with them. For example, they said that you cannot mount a temporary AC unit on the window. However, the lease doesn't specify that, so I went ahead and mounted my AC during the summer heatwave. They didn't escalate it further because if it's not in the lease, it is not binding.

Great place

I lived here for over 5 years. Location is great. Apartment is spacious. Rarely have I ever had someone park in my covered stall which occurred at previous places. Staff is awesome. Always polite when talking to them. Occasionally I'll hear loud music coming from across the street but it's not repetitive so I'm guessing the staff deals with it. Most neighbors are friendly. Overall it's an excellent location and comfortable apartment.
