Everything that glitters isn’t gold

When I first toured the new property, I was in love and couldn't wait to sign a lease and move in. The staff failed to mention that not all of the services you have to pay for listed on your lease or the stuff they say to new potential residents are not even available. When I moved in, I did not have cable and internet like the staff left out before signing my lease. My front door is still damaged due to a stray dog on the property that scratched my door and left paw prints. I notified maintenance via online work order and spoke to Monica, and she just said okay. Anytime you tell the staff about any problem, whether it is Monica or Yadira, they say okay, we will get someone to handle it, and nothing happens. Your trash will not be picked up according to any schedule the property sends out, nor will an actual dumpster be visible on the property to even attempt to take out the trash. No one should have to physically take out their own trash when paying $45 for valet trash. Maintenance is responsible for the trash pick up, and they can’t even do that nor fill a work order request submitted on their website per their instructions. If you encounter any issue or need a work order to be taken care of, you might as well either DIY or call the property multiple times. I moved in on August 1st, and people were already living at the new property. As of August 25th, the property still has no mail keys to give to the people living here. I was told to have my mail delivered to my work until they can get mail keys, which is ridiculous if the property is supposed to be up and running and ready for move-in, as they claim. It is OK not to have everything working or accounted for, but be upfront instead of just trying to get people to fill a residence. I have encountered all of this, and it hasn’t even been a month yet, so I am excited to see what else is in store. The appliances in the apartment also are not grade-A quality. Be prepared to wash your clothes 2-3 times. Enjoy(:
