Steadily Going Downhill

I've lived here for a little over 4 years and while things are still OK, they've gone steadily downhill since the property management company changed in OCT, 2021. Monthly rent rates have skyrocketed but that's due to overall market conditions and not the property but the overall maintenance of the grounds and general upkeep of the property has really deteriorated while the management company makes changes that continue to add additional charges to our monthly rent. Eliminate the package room and charge the tenants $12 for a new package delivery service that was not our choice. We're having "smart" systems installed in every apartment and while they might add some really cutting edge technology, if you don't want or need it, who cares? And I believe we will be charged each month for that new, but unnecessary, upgrade. Add in the constantly overflowing cans of garbage, overflowing dumpsters and dog business that no one seems to pick up and we're paying a lot for a property where the standards don't match the rental rates. Unfortunately, it's the way that society is going but it doesn't mean that our neighborhood has to follow suit but it's the course that BH Management seems to prefer.
