My Honest Thoughts

My wife and I love living in the river district apartments! Its a beautiful area that feels safe and vibrant. The trails and surrounding neighborhoods are lovely places to walk around, and the community is very polite and kind. Maintenance has been great getting things fixed quickly. However, nothing is ever perfect. There is no club house or pool. The apartment does not have a lot of space for hosting friends. The washer and dryer is extra each month if you dont have your own to hook up. The extra cost is on top of a already hefty monthly rent. Besides those few things, my wife and I cherish our cozy apartment and enjoy coming home to an apartment complex that is relatively quiet and tucked away on the river.

Great Place

I've lived here for about 3 months now. I'm on the 2nd floor and can definitely say the place is pretty noisy. But beyond that, saving what abouts to at least 300 a month makes it completely worth it. The people are also much better than Charlotte. All in all, very pleased with the move down south,

Pierre Building

I’ve loved living here and the location. My unit itself is spacious and bright. But, the building itself has fallen apart, unfortunately, over the past year. The carpets in the hallways are filthy. The elevators have had fluids on the walls and the floors. It used to smell completely fresh and clean all the time, but now the biggest issue is the stench of weed, as another reviewer mentioned. Management has not addressed this but the smell is almost unbearable. My visitors notice it as soon as they come in the building. Sometimes the odor even comes into my unit. That is something I’d expect from a student living complex- not an adult community. Management is super responsive to everything else which is much appreciated. Also, a bit overpriced for no amenities (we don’t even have a clubhouse/lobby or valet trash, and the trash chute is disgusting from the nearby restaurants food waste- I have to hold my breath just to toss my trash). Otherwise a good experience overall, just wish the building was in the condition it was when I moved in.
