The Residenz

upstairs neighbors are constantly waking me up from midnight to 7am with stomping, and what sounds like dragging heavy furniture around. but my main gripe is parking….why in the 4 months ive lived here, have i been forced to park 97 times including today (yes ive been counting) over FOUR APARTMENT BUILDINGS AWAY FROM MY OWN! its freezing, theres snow and ice everywhere, and when i get to my apartment and my phone hits me with the “hey! here’s where you parked your car, need directions?” notification thats when i know its getting ridiculous. and the protective parking is always bare and empty, BECAUSE YALL CHARGE WAY TOO MUCH TO USE THEM!! i might as well start parking in those because its a heck of a lot closer and ive never seen more than 3 cars parked under one. im not sure if you guys are overfilling your apartments or letting a bunch of people with 2+ cars in but i know i’m not the only one who’s over it. twice ive seen residents almost get into a physical altercation via a parking spot. that sounds dumb but to be honest, i get it, the next closest parking spot was alllll the way down the street and around the corner so yeah, i would’ve been pretty heated over that parking spot too. one of these days someone will end up punching someone and the cops will get called, just a fare warning. but this has to get fixed. people are pissed and i just had to spend almost 20min making 2 trips to my car to grab groceries….seriously think about that. 5min walk to my apartment with the first load of groceries, then 5min walk back to the car, then 5min walk back to the apt with the 2nd load, then 5min walk back to the car again, and 5min walk back to the apartment with my final load of groceries….if i dropped a case of water or one of my bags ripped during that long commute, i would’ve busted into that main office LIVID! nothing else complaint wise, but i dont see myself or many others renewing leases, the parking situation is just so bad that it ruins any other good qualities

Going on 4 years living at The Residenz and I love being here! You won’t find a better location than this place! The office staff are so friendly and very helpful! Maintenance crew are quick to respond to tickets and always go above and beyond! I am thankful for my community and love my home!

I had the pleasure of living at The Residenz for 6+ years with a fantastic property management team. The environment was safe, and I felt secure throughout my residence. The management team was incredibly responsive to any concerns or issues, making the living experience truly hassle-free. Their professionalism and dedication to maintaining the property were commendable. I highly recommend this apartment complex to anyone seeking a comfortable and worry-free living space. The spacious one-bedroom apartment I had the privilege of residing in was situated in a picturesque, tree-lined residential area that exuded a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. The neighborhood was a haven for young professionals and families alike. The apartment itself was a cozy yet roomy space, offering all the amenities one could ask for with abundant storage. What made this apartment even more exceptional was its location within the community. There were plenty of parks, playgrounds, and schools nearby, making it an ideal place for families. For young professionals, the convenience of local cafes, and shops, made it a great choice.

I have lived at the Residenz for over 4 years, and I love it! I love it so much that I just moved from one unit to another unit within the complex to make room for our growing family. It is near beautiful parks and walking distance from coffee shops and grocery stores. The maintenance staff is extremely responsive, professional, and friendly. They allow dogs, with no weight limit, which I love because I have two 50 pound fur babies. My only frustration is Monarch has been increasing the rent each year (even during the pandemic), and it was not easy or cheap to transfer to a new unit. But as far as daily life goes, it is the perfect place to live!

While living at the residenz we were harassed by one of our neighbors who would left multiple notes on our car windshield. Our car was keyed on all four doors. One tenant started allowing their dog to both urinate and dedicate in the hallway. In response to the third event a notice was sent out that for every incident following, any one in the complex would be charged an extra $40 cleaning fee. The drip in our kitchen sink was never fixed even tho maintenance does multiple upkeep inspections throughout the year, which feels invasive. Drains, and appliances broke frequently. In addition when we moved out we received -$30 on our security deposit. So I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

My partner and I have lived at The Residenz for almost 4 years, and we are very happy here. It is truly pet-friendly--we have two 50+ pound dogs and they are welcome. We love it so much that when we started needing extra space, we decided to stay with The Residenz and move into a larger unit. The maintenance staff are consistent, friendly, and professional. We have always enjoyed our interactions with them. The grounds are beautifully maintained. My favorite part is all the porches and balconies--it really gives a sense of community. My only complaint is that since Monarch took over management the rent has gone up each year, even during the pandemic. But it's worth the cost to me and my family. There's a reason why it's consistently been one of the top apartment complexes in the Dayton region.
