First home
I have just completed my first month living in this apartment and it is the most gorgeous, spacious, friendly space I have ever encountered, much less lived in. For the amenities around and space within, myself and my partner and our young cat have flourished in our first home and are so pleased with where we've landed.
Excellent Place to Live
We have lived here for 7 years and had an excellent experience. The apartments are older, from the 1980s but reasonably upgraded. One of the best features of the River Ridge complex is the extensive green space among the buildings, and the buildings themselves, which are only two-story, and nicely spread out. The location is also excellent: while surrounded by woods and greenery, we are only minutes from 240 and 40, and about 7 minutes from the rest of Asheville. Rent continues to be "reasonable" though like every other rental in Asheville is going up every year. The complex is reasonably quiet, and we have had perhaps one incident in 6 years with even the hint of a disturbance. The on-site management people have varied from barely adequate to excellent, and we are currently in an "excellent" phase with great on-site managers. The maintenance people have been consistently excellent. I do maintenance for a different property management company, so I really appreciate how good our maintenance people and present managers are here. We came to stay a year and find someplace more permanent, but just never needed to go elsewhere. Hopefully the present owners, who clearly are holding the property to sell, are unsuccessful in their occasional efforts to find a buyer, or find one who might want to keep the place affordable and in good condition!
