we have lived at The Hermosa for 6 years and have seen so many property managers come and gp. The property aging rapidly and it is obvious that the property owner does not want to invest any money for updates or upgrades. it is such a fabulous location and such a shame not to see it preservedthe way it should be. we are leaving after 6 years simply because this property is becoming so dilapidated yet the rent keeps increasing.

save money for a short term job

I chose this place online without any visits to Birmingham. Thus, I am writing my review as an observation, rather than complaint. This is a cute older studio apartment on the third floor of the building. In addition to limited street parking, everything is up hill and up stairs to approach the entrance to the building. It’s a workout managing groceries and laundry. This unit has many windows but no direct sunlight so it tends to be dark during the day. There is a popular cafe on the same street which affects availability of parking in the evenings. The neighbors are friendly and many have dogs. There are several parks close for walking dogs. Overall, these are qualities that are inherent to the property but I’m comfortable and in a convenient location for the price.

Property review

Maintenance does not complete requests. They only do half a job. Apartments don’t seem to be inspected properly before leasing (filling cracks/ windows, electricity issues). The office has always been very nice and helpful though and the community of people that live here cannot be beat. The people are about the only consistent good of living here.
