Climate-controlled and clean. Price isn't terrible. Location is great. The one bad thing (hopefully temporary) is their bathroom has been out of order for a long time. Not the end of the world, but really inconvenient. ... Read more

Downtown Storage was very convenient and the procedures were simple. Our unit was easy to access during all open hours. Prices were relatively reasonable. We’re lucky we found this during the time we needed it. ... Read more

I only have good things to say about Downtown Storage in Waco. In 2020 I decided to move to Colorado and leave all of my stuff stored in Texas. After doing some research online, I came to the conclusion Downtown Storage was the best solution in Waco. They were always super nice and super helpful if I had questions. When I realized I was going to need two storage units, they made sure to put them next to each other to make it easier to move everything in and out. If I ever had to store things in Waco again, this is the only place I'd consider using. ... Read more

Downtown storage is the best in Waco! Always very clean, very helpful, and great rates for climate controlled! I had several units and would move to large ones and they always accommodated! My business grew and I moved into a large warehouse, that is the only reason why I left! I would highly recommend them to anyone in Waco or moving to Waco or any Baylor student needing a place to store things over the breaks. The Manager - Larry - is awesome and will help you out when trying to figure out everything! Also their uhaul. part is also one of the best in town. Quick, Easy, and trucks are always clean. I use them regularly for my business and could not be happier. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Downtown Storage - 1225 Franklin Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 150 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Downtown Storage - 1225 Franklin Avenue start from $50 and can go up to $160 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
