Mary was so helpful and informative. Ran down all of my options to make sure that I got exactly what I needed. From the size of the unit to packing/moving items. Thanks for making the torture of moving a little more pleasant!!! ... Read more

Clean, and safe. Very friendly and helpful staff. Edit: 2/11/2025 I’m adding an edit since I’ve moved cities and closed my account with Devon. I had a top notch experience from beginning to end with this company. I never had a single issue. I had seen some reviews in the past where they had a different site manager and they weren’t the best. You have nothing to fear. The new manager is killing it! Will use them again and again if I ever need storage! ... Read more

I have purposely waited almost a month before writing this review. I relocated a 6 hour drive away. I reserved and paid online. Upon my scheduled time/date, there was no one at the office during operational hours. I tried calling the office several times, but no one answered. I tried to find a customer service number, but was unsuccessful. I waited for someone to open the store for 45 minutes. I decided to call other locations to see if I could reach anyone. By this time, I was going to run late to get the uhaul checked in and off my vehicle. Finally, I got a human on the phone. She worked across town at another location and that the person scheduled to be there had called in sick. . So I waited on her to close her store and drive to where I was to let me in. She gave me a code which let me in/out. However when I came back a few days later, the code didn't work. I then went into the office and was told that isn't the code but within a few minutes she provided me with a different one. I paid late fee for returning the uhaul in an untimely manner and I will be removing my belongings soon. I believe they also have a discount or free month of rent, which I haven't heard a word about since my move in. I understand people get sick, it was just an unfortunate situation. ... Read more

**"From Frustration to Fantastic: A New Manager Made All the Difference"** **Google Review Draft from Tenant’s Perspective:** I’ve been renting at this storage facility for about six months now, and although the property itself has been fine, my experience with the manager was far from pleasant. From the moment I moved in, it felt like I had to drag information out of her just to get basic answers. She was never particularly friendly or helpful, but I needed a unit that day, and the price was right, so I went ahead with the rental. Over the months, it became almost impossible to get in touch with her. I called numerous times without an answer, and when I visited the office, the door was either locked, or I could see her sitting inside and ignoring me. I gave up trying to get assistance after one frustrating interaction where she promised to fix the issue with my unit’s door – which never happened. Fed up, I had decided to move out by the first of November. I stopped by the office one last time, ready to tell them I was done with the place. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting anyone to be there, and if the door had been locked again, I would’ve just walked away without a second thought. To my surprise, the door was unlocked, and I was greeted by a new person—Whitney—who stood up with a friendly, upbeat attitude and welcomed me. I was so thrown off by the fact that someone was actually there, smiling and ready to help, that I almost forgot why I had come in! Once I composed myself, I let Whitney know about the issues I’d had with the employee that I rented from and told her that the problem with my door had never been resolved. Instead of just brushing me off, Whitney asked me to explain exactly what was going on with the door. She also let me know that the employee I was referring to was no longer with the company. She explained that she was here from Fort Worth and that she would be taking over, at least for now. Whitney then asked if I had time to show her the problem. We walked over to my unit, and as I demonstrated how the door kept getting stuck, she immediately identified the issue. Without hesitation, she ran to grab the tools she needed, returned within minutes, and made a simple adjustment to the metal track. Just like that, the door worked perfectly. I couldn’t believe that something so small had caused me months of frustration, and yet this new manager fixed it in minutes. I was ready to leave the facility for good because of the poor service, but after meeting Whitney and seeing how quickly and kindly she handled my problem, I’ve decided to stay. Honestly, I didn’t want to move—it’s a hassle—but now that I know someone competent is running things, I feel confident staying here. Lastly, I noticed that the previous manager left a negative review about this facility, and I just want to say: the problem was never the property—it was the manager. Now that she’s gone, things are already looking up, and the new management seems to genuinely care about helping customers. If you're considering renting here, don’t let that former employee’s review sway you. The facility is well-maintained, and with people like Whitney in charge, I’m sure you’ll have a much better experience than I did initially. ... Read more

As s former employee I would not recommend working or renting from them. They will lie about introductory pricing then they will double it after 3 months and triple it after 9. They do not care if your stuff is damaged by water/ roof leaks as long as they get their money. I would not recommend doing business with this company. ... Read more

Storage units available at Devon Self Storage - 1720 Loy Lake Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Enclosed, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 400 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Devon Self Storage - 1720 Loy Lake Road start from $8 and can go up to $219 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
