Urgently moved out because they hit us with a random rate increase of almost twenty dollars for a small, 5 x 5 unit. When I went to collect our belongings, the temperature was at 97 degrees, and my clothing had Rodent poop all over it. ... Read more

The A/C to the climate controlled units has not been working for a few months now and we have been paying for a “climate controlled” unit. I sent an email about the issue and only received a “Thank you for your email..for transfer options call…” They didn’t even bother to help resolve anything. Also, the security gate remains open daily since the exit gate has yet to be fixed, caution recently there’s been dogs roaming the outdoor units. ... Read more

Climate control was off, doesn't keep it at the adjusted temperature, lights didn't work, it said first month was going to be cheaper and still got billed for the entire amount. Honestly it was kinda sad. ... Read more

Good thing I didn't leave my things at this place. No one to help you. I called their number and they put you on hold forever and never answer. The office was empty. Disaster. They have an automatic payment but the website does not allow you to cancel. So that money went bye bye. I am glad I didn't lose my things. I had to put my card on hold and order a new one. Forget it. I won't pay for something I am not using. ... Read more

Horrible unit they have no office to help in case of an emergency and if ur past due they put on lock on your account that even if u pay they will not remove because u have to wait for someone to go out there which may take a few days so if you urgently need your stuff no way of getting you call customer service and there the worst of the worst no help not good customer service morals. They also lie to you when open service they tell you one price and then turns out there charging hidden fees gate to exit is broken most horrible storage ever not recommend you get them ... Read more

Zero stars for the KO Storage located in San Benito, TX. There is no onsite help. And the manager only “available” Tuesday and Thursday but that is not the case. The security gate never works and is always open along with the doors to the climate control units. I have been locked out of my storage for days and cannot get anyone to unlock my unit even though the manger was supposedly on duty. There is absolutely no emergency line and absolutely no one to help. All customer service does is say they will send Minerva the property manage a message, but she doesn’t reply and doesn’t go to the property to assist. They have office hours posted on their website but there is no office and no help. KO storage of San benito, Tx is denying access to my storage with no alternative because there is no help and no way to reach a property manager. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at KO Storage - 1775 US-77 include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 420 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by KO Storage - 1775 US-77 start from $26 and can go up to $233 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
