My friend recently rented a unit here because she's moving to an apartment downtown. She reserved the unit online, so we were both pleasantly surprised when we arrived—the facility was incredibly clean, and the staff has been so friendly and helpful throughout the move. The office manager personally showed us to the unit, and since it was a really hot day, she even offered us cold water. Great experience overall! ... Read more

Stay far away from Store Space Self Storage! They advertise a 50% off promotion for two months, but it’s a total scam if you happen to start your lease toward the end of the month. I paid the discounted rate of $40 thinking I’d get a full month, but instead, I got three days of storage! Then they charged me for the next month just four days later. Not even a full week after that, they slapped on a $20 late fee, even though I had barely even used the unit! This place clearly doesn’t care about transparency or treating customers fairly. They should at least explain this shady policy upfront—especially for those renting units at the end of the month. A simple email or a heads-up would’ve saved me from wasting my time and money. Sure, the units themselves are clean and a decent size, but that doesn’t make up for the garbage billing practices and poor communication. Definitely not a place I’d recommend—especially if you’re trying to get back on your feet financially. Do better, Store Space Self Storage. ... Read more

I've been at this facility for some years now and have seen it improve greatly this past year. Julie and her team have kept the building cleaner and feel safer. I once left my unit unlocked by accident and was notified of it first thing in the morning. Nothing was taken but I was surprised at how attentive the team was. They have also made the transition from a small unit to a larger one a breeze. Can't thank them enough for the customer service they've provided. Most obliged. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Store Space Self Storage - 1301 East Commerce Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Kiosk Available, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 150 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Store Space Self Storage - 1301 East Commerce Street start from $38 and can go up to $206 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
