Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 4910 South Zarzamora Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I hate leaving negative reviews, but this location has now given me problems twice. I won a storage auction and spent two days calling the office to schedule pickup. Every call went straight to voicemail, and none of my messages were returned. Because the deadline was approaching, I finally drove to the location in person. When I arrived, the employee was outside with her dog and told me she was on lunch. Trying to be respectful, I asked what time she would be available so I could either wait or come back. She told me 12:30 PM. When I checked my watch and mentioned it was already 12:38 PM, her attitude immediately changed. I simply wanted to know whether I should continue waiting or leave and return later. She said she still had 15 minutes. I waited in my car for the 15 minutes but she came and got me 5 minutes later. She stated she hadn’t eaten lunch and she came back early so she could help me. I explained that I had been trying to reach someone for two days and would have gladly made an appointment if anyone had returned my calls, the conversation became defensive instead of addressing the issue. She proceeded to ask me to leave stating I gave her an attitude. I have a video of our interaction it displays her behavior and professionalism. What made this even more frustrating is that this is not my first bad experience at this location. The last time I won an auction here, the previous tenant’s lock was still on the unit, preventing me from accessing it for two days. Management eventually refunded me and allowed me to keep the unit, so I decided to give this location another chance. The real issue is not one employee or one bad day. It’s the lack of communication and poor customer service. Returning phone calls, maintaining accurate office hours, and treating customers professionally when they raise legitimate concerns should be standard. Storage auctions already operate on strict timelines, and customers should not have to chase down staff just to complete a transaction. Unfortunately, after two separate negative experiences, I cannot recommend this location. The District Manager reached out to personally apologize for my experience and assured me this is not the level of service they strive to provide. She asked that I consider giving them another chance. I'll admit, I'm still hesitant to return—even for a free unit. I do love their storage units, though, so only time will tell. That said, I genuinely appreciate that the District Manager is taking the time to read reviews and address customer concerns. Knowing that gives me hope that positive changes are being made moving forward. I added one star for the follow-up. ... Read more

Do not rent from this place. The manager is an amazing sweet person but the property is trash. My moms storage is infested with rats. They destroyed all of her belongings and even though she had insurance they stated it will only cover $250 worth of her property for rat damages. She's literally been renting out this unit for almost a year and paid the extra amount for insurance all for nothing and everything is destroyed. Find a different place to put your valuables. ... Storage units available at Public Storage - 4910 South Zarzamora Street include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 4910 South Zarzamora Street start from $60 and can go up to $326 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
