Update: We had this unit for four months. There are two elevators, one of which was broken for three of the four months. The other elevator is quite slow. We tried to use the app for a while, but eventually gave up and just used the keypads. The app is a good idea and when it worked, it was helpful, but it never worked consistently. After a few months, crowbar marks appeared on an outer door, clearly someone trying to bust in. The metal door was bent inward. We also saw a homeless man peeing, inside the property fence line. We found a dog that had been tied up for at least a few days right by the entrance keypad, and I guess no employees had thought to do anything about him. Shout out to Miss Maria though, an employee who helped us get him food and water and took care of him until he could be picked up. Overall, this facility feels as if employees are rarely present, cameras are not monitored, and facilities (while new for now) are not being well-maintained. Original review: This review is based on our first impressions. Will update after we're done with our storage unit, if the experience got worse or better. We first arrived in the middle of the day on a Wednesday and no one was in the office. We also couldn't reach anyone on the phone. We left a voicemail and received a callback about an hour later. The app used to open the gate and building doors works some of the time and is very convenient when it's working! Some of the time it does not work. The elevator is horrific. It moves so very slowly and takes so long to open and close doors, you'd think elevators were a strange new technology. One elevator is out of service. There are two keypads in the tiny room between the main door and the first floor, and neither has a label saying "Elevator." The app has never worked for the elevator. So we've learned through trial and error that we have to punch the code in to the keypad on the right and then hold the button of the floor we want until the doors close and we start going up. It felt like a voodoo ritual trying to figure out the steps. No instructions. The interior of the facility is very clean and seems well-maintained. The location is convenient. ... Read more

Jesus was so helpful, I caught him yesterday as he was closing up and he stayed to help answer all my questions. Today I wanted to switch my unit to a ground floor vs 2nd floor and he called me back in a timely manner and was able to switch my units. Thank you Jesus for being so helpful and having patience with me and all my craziness. ... Read more

I paid extra for a unit next to a elevator, and then learned that the elevator was out of order. This location only has one working elevator which is on the opposite side of the facility from where my unit is located. When I moved in three months ago, they said it was going to be fixed soon, it is still out of order. Once they get it fixed, I will change this to a five star review ... Read more

Facility is clean and secure but it's it's nearly impossible to get any kind of assistance. From what I can tell no one is onsite. Directions to access the elevator are murky. You can't do anything unless you access the mobile app which is confusing, and the connection inside the building is not very good which makes using the app even more difficult. I'm only here for the price. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 1062 NE Loop 410 include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 1062 NE Loop 410 start from $25 and can go up to $202 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
