Read some helpful reviews of KO Storage at 3901 Ben Ficklin Road, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I contacted customer service I mailed in my payment on 6/2/25 and I noticed it wasn't posted so I called and spoke to Veronica she was very helpful and nice. Very good customer service rep. This the 2nd time this has happened to me. I went to my local he post office and they told me that it takes mail from here to Minnesota 3-7 days. As of yesterday 7/2/25 payment hasn't been received I also spoke to someone else about my issue and he was going to look into my situation with the office. ... Read more

To be honest, this is my first time renting, so I was a bit upset when I found out that I had been moved out of my unit by mistake in their system after I had already paid. Thankfully, their customer service was very quick to resolve the issue. Joy helped restore the unit I paid for, and I’ll be moving my things in shortly. ... Read more

Update: No one has reached out as stated in the Owner response below. No improvements on site. Not surprised from this incompetent KO Storage staff. KO Storage is awful. I definitely don't recommend this storage facility. It is a joke and looks like it's been abandoned since 1970. 1. Massive potholes when you enter and exit the gate. 2. Numerous knee high weeds in front of units. 3. Rat feces, insects, and dirt are inside the unit. This is probably due to the lack of weatherstripping on the doors. 4. No one is on site. The local facility manager works remotely and the headquarters is in Minnesota. When you call, you talk to a different person every time and apparently they don't take notes. There is not consistent information among their incompetent customer service staff. The only useful person was Ren out of Minnesota. 5. They do not have an on site dumpster and they claim they will fine you if you use the dumpster located off Ben Ficklin outside the facility. Affordable Storage has management on site. They do not have weeds, insects, or dirt as their units are dirt proof. Their grounds are impeccable and their staff are much nicer and competent. They also have an on site dumpster. ... Read more

This is a poor place do not rent from them. I rented a unit for my daughter when she went to move her dorm stuff in there was black widows all over the handle also inside along with ant hills I had her go buy raid and spray it she went back the next day to put stuff in there and it had someone else's stuff. I called to cancel and the number they give you once you book I could never get a answer so I finally called the number to book a new unit to be able to cancel. We'll I guess they sent me a email that I never got. So I just got charged again, I call and tell them I canceled last month the guy pretty much calls me a lier and says then I can't help you and hangs up. There is no way to get in touch with corporate. I did get a lady by the name Giselle when I called back that is trying to help me and I appreciate it. This is crazy. I know have paid $94.00 for a unit my daughter could not use, nor are we using. I had to hurry and book somewhere else as she had to be out of her dorm. What a mess. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at KO Storage - 3901 Ben Ficklin Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Enclosed, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by KO Storage - 3901 Ben Ficklin Road start from $49 and can go up to $124 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
