Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 1241 Prosper Commons Blvd, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I've been trying for over 2 weeks to move out. My unit is on the second floor and the elevator has been broken. I called customer service with zero help! And they charged me for a full month even thou I could not move out. Beware. And watch out for increasing monthly dues! ... Read more

I have had to use storage companies before in different places that I’ve lived. But have been extremely pleased with the public storage here in Prosper Texas. It’s nice to walk into a very well kept facility with genuine staff that are happy to help. Kirsten Has been a tremendous helping meet our needs. I will definitely pass the word along to others looking for storage rental. ... Read more

We love this storage facility and its local staff, especially Lucien and Kurstin have been so helpful in meeting and exceeding all of our needs as tenants. The facility is well maintained, clean and always accessible for us as we need it. ... Read more

I've been renting at this location for over 10 years. I'd really like to give them five stars, but as of late the property has been neglected. The most urgent of these issues is a leaking roof. When it rains, the vacant unit directly next to mine has a puddle on the floor and so does the area in front of the elevator. I've stopped by the office multiple times, but nobody is ever there. I've tried calling and leaving messages. On the one occasion someone actually returned my call, they put a lock on the unit that was leaking (removed it from being rentable), but then a few days later, the lock was removed and the unit was again available for rent. It has since rained again, and the roof is still leaking into that unit. There are many other issues I've had with this property, but I'll leave it at that in hopes that someone at the company reads this and finally does something about the roof. I'm considering moving to a different facitlity, but this one is a great location for me, and I access my unit almost daily. Having to drive a farther distance, as well as having to move a ton of stuff, is very undesirable. If I can't trust that my stuff will stay dry, though, I might be forced to move. ... Read more

Loma was amazing to work with. We came in wanting a tour of the unit we wanted and she walked us through the facility and helped us find one that fit our needs. Amazing service and very helpful. Thank you Loma! ... Read more

When I came to this location I did not like anyone at Public Storage that I had to work with. I was lied to to get me to come to this facility and I could never get ahold of anyone at this location even when I showed up in person everyday. Now I am working with Kursten which is a blessing. She is very friendly and if she doesn't know the answers to my questions she will find out and come back to me immediately. Also everytime I am at the location and she is at work that day I always see her at least once. She gets a gold star from me. ... Read more

Update: location called and will be adressing the following issues. Great staff and management for willing to listen to address issues. Location provides oil residue and stained carts. No exterior lighting in the main building loading/unloading area. It's definitely a safety hazard after 5pm. The concrete wheel stop is installed incorrectly and poses a tripping hazard if backed into the spot. ... Read more

The whole process was so simple. The facility is very nice, clean and feels safe. Kona, at the front desk, was helpful and knowledgeable about their various services and the forms I was signing. I could have also done this online prior to showing up and gone right to my unit. I would highly recommend this facility for anyone needing self- storage. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 1241 Prosper Commons Blvd include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Keyless Unit Access, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 1241 Prosper Commons Blvd start from $26 and can go up to $192 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
