I have been with Public Storage for approx 2 years and they have been incredible. Wish I had knew about them alot sooner. They have always treated me with respect and the staff has been nothing less than professional. They really are about the community and I love that. We need more companies like this. Great leadership!! If you're looking for storage units and not sure where to go, I reccommend Public Storage ... Read more

I recently visited the Public Storage location on Ohio Dr in Plano, TX, and I have to give major kudos to Adam for providing *exceptional* customer service. From the moment I walked in, he was attentive, professional, and genuinely helpful. He made the entire experience smooth and stress-free with clear communication and a friendly attitude. Adam went above and beyond to make sure all my questions were answered and that I felt confident in my rental. It's rare to come across someone so dedicated—thank you, Adam, for setting the bar so High and providing the 5 star service. ... Read more

Appalling. Unwilling to even have a discussion about the OVER 300% RATE INCREASE they applied to my unit in December. I understand market adjustments and capacity issues, but my rent was paid on time every single month and they have several same-sized units available (at my original rate). I would have been completely fine with a REASONABLE increase. I also only received 15 days notice, which is ridiculous considering the new rate. This practice is disgusting. The property manager and entire company should be ashamed. I originally wasn’t going to, but this now seems to be worth consulting an attorney. DO NOT EVER STORE YOUR THINGS HERE! If you take the risk, be prepared to pay WAY more than anyone else in town or to MOVE ALL OF YOUR STUFF AGAIN after a few months. ... Read more

While I have had horrific experiences with other Public Storage locations (i.e. Keller, TX) I can say that there haven’t been any hiccups. The problem with all storage units is they lure you in with a free month or low price and then after 4-6 months, raise the price by 25%, knowing you won’t move it all out and to a new place, every 4-6 months, for a lower rate. Well, the surprise is on them! I will most certainly do just that and after 5 months, will be doing it on March 1st—refusing to pay the 25% increase notice. ... Read more

This is a geat place to store your belongings or use as a staging area for a big move. In February I was faced with the most difficult move of my life due to layoffs and it was only made worse by covid 19, the snowstorms, power outages, and the flooding it caused in my apartment complex. The power outages also effected Public Storage and caused some mechanical issues with their door mechanism. Starla, the manager at this location was a godsent and made it her priority to assist me during the move by staying after hours during the storm, and made sure everything turned out as well as it could with all the obstacles thrown in our way. My experience during the move was rough but Starla made a bad situation better. I also feel safe keeping my things here under her watch. I highly recommend this place and appreciate Starla for being such a great person to work with. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 7950 Ohio Drive include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Keyless Unit Access, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 100 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 7950 Ohio Drive start from $33 and can go up to $137 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
