Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 1919 West 15th Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

My rate doubled after about a year. I ended up moving to a smaller unit, but I fully expect that rate to increase dramatically. Hopefully I can move my stuff out before then. The gate has been broken for months, so there's a lack of security. I've tried to visit to the office multiple times in one day during business hours, but it has been locked with no staff present. This was after I had called earlier in the day to make sure they were open. Take your business somewhere else if you can. Two stars because the app is user friendly. ... Read more

If you have items in B Unit from around May—especially June and July 2025—you should check on them immediately. That unit has had no AC for months, despite being advertised as climate-controlled. I have complained repeatedly, but nothing has been done. Meanwhile, they still expect full monthly payment. The heat in that storage 24/7 during the Texas summer has damaged my belongings—my bags are peeling, and my wax candles have completely melted. It’s unacceptable for a “climate control” storage facility to let this ... Read more

Been with them before they turned into Public Storage from Self Service years back. Recently they’ve experienced a staffing issue. I’ve called four times in the past 24 hrs during their business hours, no answer or reply including the time I physically pulled up and no one was present in the office. Can’t get a hold of them nor can you find anyone there. If it wasn’t for the discount, my business would be elsewhere but they can call you all day but not pickup such if kinda weird especially cause they needed me to come down. Please do better and hire more people ASAP ... Read more

Thomas, at the 15th&Custer location, is the absolute kindest, most considerate facilities manager I've come across! I was having several issues with my account login and auto-pay. He was so patient and diligently went through each issue until we got them all resolved. He helped me get a refund on my late fee and a discount! I wish everyone was as pleasant to work with. He put a big smile on my face and I would highly recommend this location! ... Read more

Since Thomas has been the property manager, he's done such a great job not only in maintaining the facility, but his kindness and problem solving abilities are beyond reproach. The interactions between customers are far more than I anticipated. Keep up the Great Work Thomas! We appreciate you being there. ... Read more

I set up a reservation online; I was called and I told the person I’d come in. When I got there, no one was present. I called and was told I had to set up an appointment which was news to me. In any case, it was obvious that this is not a place where security matters - the gate was broken and standing wide open. It looked like it had been that way for a while. I rented elsewhere. ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 1919 West 15th Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 240 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 1919 West 15th Street start from $24 and can go up to $227 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
