KEEP AWAY from this place. The lady owner saw us through the cameras bringing stuff in to our unit, came up to us to ask about some stuff we had and a week later our unit was broken into. Coincidence?! I don’t think so Our unit along with 3 more other units were also broken into. When we asked about the cameras, they said “We’ve never had cameras here”. So what kind of place are they running then?! This screams scammers!!!!! ... Read more

Horrible place, when Gary and Becky ran it for years it was a clean, honest and most of all safe place, we've been customers for years, sadly they have passed and the new "management" acts nice but be careful,my mother's unit was broken into along with many other units and they stole thousands of dollars of tools, their story keeps changing and as we were almost done moving out,she was all defensive and extremely rude, they failed to secure the place and they act with an attitude, she threatened to call the police after her father, which is the "manager or security,I don't know which, told her to,so I said I'd call and started to dial than she said I didn't have to call the cops, hmmm, fishy, but anyway,if you plan on moving in you're on your own,be careful ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Southmore Lock-Store - 1112 West Southmore Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
