Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 2700 South Shaver Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I have been using this public storage for 2 years now specifically this location. Most of the times during my visits the place stay very clean, hallways, and Unit are maintained pest free. I spoke with Indah, and Helen about a matter that I was concerned about my unit. They educated me on why certain procedures were done, So I was relief to hear that there was nothing wrong with my account. Both ladies were kind, respectful, and professional. ... Read more

I initially went with this storage because they had a promotion going on for your first month after that you pay regular prices which is fine the catch is I've rented out my storage around the 15th and I was told that I have to pay over $100 on the 1st. So there is no 30-day billing cycle when you first start regardless of when you get your storage you are expected to pay your rent on the 1st and if you are late on the third day you will get charged $15 and another $15 another 3 days afterwards ... No dollies or carts for months. Gates broken often. They offer you a great move in rate and then jack up the rent significantly after a couple of months. I called and left message twice to get move out instructions. No one would call me back. Terribly managed location. ... Read more

If I could, I would rate public store with ZERO STARS!!! *WARNING** DO NOT RENT HERE UNLESS YOU WANT A MANAGER WITH RUDE/UNPROFESSIONAL/CHILDISH ATTITUDE & NO BATHROOMS AVAILABLE FOR PAYING CUSTOMERS!! The Property manager shows that SHE DOES NOT CARE about the paying customers! I’m am very upset after my wife came back home. today, July 1, 2025, the property MANAGER (2700 shaver st, Pasadena, tx Public Storage location) DELIBERATELY TURNED OFF THE ENTIRE FACILITY A/C SYSTEM COMPLETELY FROM 2:30pm central time to 4pm central time while my wife was moving the stuff from the 3rd floor to the truck! This could caused a heat stroke in the facility during the middle of summer in Texas!!! Currently is is 94 degees with humidity! So take a guess HOW HOT IT WOULD BE INSIDE A BUILDING . This is Unacceptable behavior as a manager and AS A HUMAN BEING!! -as a PAYING CUSTOMER, we should not be locked out of the bathroom while moving things in/out of storage unit! The entire time I paid for a storage space, I was never able to use the restroom! -this public storage space off 2700 shaver, Pasadena tx. - when I opened the gate with my public storage app the property manager thought i opened the gate for her, BUT REALLY I OPEN THE GATE TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE into the place to get my stuff out of storage. The property manager shouldn’t have started pushing her trashcan in through the gate before I drove my vehicle through the gate. I did not open the gate for her, I opened it for me. -the public storage property manager acting childish by yelling at paid customers and using profanity towards me while I was loading my stuff onto the cart to take to my vehicle. -when I tried to take my stuff down the elevator, the public storage manager kept pushing the down button And also putting her foot in the door of the elevator to prevent the elevator door from closing. She didn’t even go in the elevator. She did this to piss me off while she was recoding on her device for no reason! And she said she was kicking me off the property while my belongings are still in my storage unit!! AFTER I LEFT FACILITY, out of no where the two gate entrances had an OUT OF ORDER SIGN” even though the gates worked less than 30 minutes ago. THIS IS NOT HOW YOU TREAT PAYING CUSTOMERS!! -they had a sign in the dumpster that said they would charge you $1000 dollars if you threw trash away in the dumpster!! (This is an outrageous) THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR FROM ANY MANAGER, and ESPECIALLY UNACCEPTABLE FOR THE ONLY PROPERTY MANAGER THERE AT THE FACIlity TO TREAT A PAYING CUSTOMER LIKE HOW SHE IS! ... Having a storage here was good. I like being able to open/shut the gate, unlock the doors and elevator using just a touch on the Public Storage app! Place is kept clean. I like having so much protection so it feels safe keeping my stuff here. Also its nice they provide dollys for move in and move out etc. Definitely could use a couple more so you don't have to wait on them being used. Overall I definitely would recommend this place to others. Thank you ?? ... Read more

I think it was so unprofessional for an employee to fight me a cart, saying it's for a customer, I told the employee am I not a customer that was so rude of her, I felt disrespected, I'm also paying for service's, so technically I am a customer also, yet she claimed the cart was there for 1 whole hour ??, and it was more disappointed ?? that the employee took the cart I went looking for and told me first comes first served yet I got it and I was there, and after taking it from me, she couldn't assist me as offer her help to me, and ask if u want let me take this to the other customer real quick and I can bring u one back, that's what u call Customer Service, I'm a Mortgage Professional & a Certified Manager I would never 1. Allowed a customer to be disrespect like that, 2. If she did grab it for a customer, I would've told my employees that if u see another customer needing a cart, make sure u offer ur service remember Customers pay ur bills not the other way around, that's something I always tell my employees, how u treat customers that's how much u get payed. 3. Employee didn't even bother coming back, Public Storage (yes CEO or Owners), u have to remember there's 3 floors, and we only have access to our own floor we can't even go to other floors to go look for a cart on our own to other floors, employees should go every hour when there not busy to go bring carts down for customers or pay them more to do it, cause that's called good customer service and going beyond for a customer, I waited in my car for 2 whole hours, when employeed could've offer her service, imagine if I was a undercover CEO ?? or Undercover Secret Shopper y'all would've fell inspection, and I'm making sure I call Corporation y'all need better Customer Service ????, and employees need to come bring carts down cause not all customers have access to all floors ???? its common sense ??... and I noticed the owner only replies to the positive post, yet if I was a owner I would take care of the once with the bad reviews and apologize for the bad service cause we are paying to have a good service, but its ok I'm of the Top 10 Google Maps Reviewers ??... ... As much as they charge and raise the rates you would think I would not have to wait a whole hour and still not get my things because they only have one cart! And scary getting in an elevator that grinds when it's coming to a halt! Good customer service though! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 2700 South Shaver Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 2700 South Shaver Street start from $12 and can go up to $99 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
