SHANNON consistently went above & beyond to provide outstanding customer service. I stored my belongins in Public Storage units at 4 different addresses. Over a 2-year period, she was the one who thoroughly listened, provided reliable advice and brainstormed with me until each problem was solved. Every time. So grateful. Our storage unit got broken into. Was told on Sunday someone would be out there tomorrow. Got a call on Tuesday saying they're working on the unit but can't seem tk get the deadbolt fixed so I may need to move units .... why am I paying $100 a month again? Update: Came to get my key for the new lock. No one in the office and repairman everywhere. Able to drive right on property without needing a gatecode. Really shady and unsecure location. Oh and hey Public Storage is it normal for your staff to look over other people's property and ask if they have a matching desk to go with their furniture. REALLY shady considering my unit was broken into 2 months ago ... Read more

My unit has been broken into twice, that I know of. Both times I was informed months later. I was told I'd receive photos to show what is in the unit. Never did. I said I would pay as soon as I know if there is anything left in the unit and now they are trying to charge me $416 for an $80 unit. I received a phone call from an employee (who I learned works at the Belt Line location) who when I answered, lead w, "this is public storage, your unit is about to go to auction, you need to pay it now!" I informed her of the situation, that I'm waiting for pics to which she rudely said "I'll make a note" and hung up on me. I called back to ask her name she told me "public storage" and hung up AGAIN. She hung up on me SIX TIMES without a word being said. After calling the MacArthur location and being told I could talk to the regional manager, I then reached out to Ty Ashcraft, the regional manager, and still have not heard a word back. DO NOT use this area for public storage!!! I've used other locations w no problems so unless you want to be treated like trash and have your stuff stolen without being notified or any help following up w that, go anywhere else!!! ... Thank you to TY for helping me with my problem and what happened to me and my family. They change the price of your unit out of no where. On my birthday my storage got broken into. I think they did it because I was late on my payment. I paid them before the date they gave me before my lock got cut and they still cut my lock & called me the next day saying my unit was broke into. Took all my wife and kids clothes and other stuff. ... Read more

*Beware of Price Gouging and Misleading Promotions* I initially chose Public Storage at 100 N MacArthur Blvd because of their promotion offering a rate of $84.40 per month. It seemed like a fair deal, but it quickly turned into a nightmare. After a few months, my monthly rate started climbing without notice or explanation: first $130.85 in March, then $111 in April, and by June, it had jumped to $151. Most recently, I received an email informing me the rate was going up again to $178! This means I'm now being charged more than double the original rate I agreed to. When I called to question these charges, the location manager claimed that notifications about rate increases are sent every 30 days. However, I never received any of these notifications. This practice feels like a bait-and-switch tactic, misleading customers with a low initial rate only to hike prices shortly after signing up. Despite speaking with multiple representatives, I have not received a clear resolution. I believe this is an unfair practice and may even violate consumer protection laws. If you're considering using this location, be aware of their inconsistent pricing and lack of transparency. I hope this review helps others avoid the same frustrating experience. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 100 North MacArthur Blvd include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Keyless Unit Access, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 500 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 100 North MacArthur Blvd start from $37 and can go up to $493 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
