Great customer service from everyone I've ever had to deal with here. My unit was clean and ready to go up on renting and gaining access has been very convenient and so is the 24hr access which is the only way that works for me so it's been a pleasure since I started renting with Storage Depot. ... I was cornered/trapped by a black SUV here while trying to leave a business I patronize on this property earlier today. There is only one way in and one way out. As I was leaving, another vehicle reversed out of his parking space then started driving towards me and blocked me in, I was facing towards the direction of the entrance/exit gate. I don't know if the driver was on illicit substances or may have other issues, but he could not understand the idea that there was nowhere to go behind me and the only way out was behind him. After a while I had to start suspecting the driver might have intentionally been trying to keep me trapped in the property? I'm unsure. However, the population that the property managers/owners have been allowing to live on premises (they are neither paying tenants nor patronizing customers of any tenants on the property) has become a tremendous safety concern and hygiene issue. I later came to find out that a person died on premises from a suspected drug overdose. I truly don't understand why the property managers/owners won't do something to secure their property from vagrants and other people who are obviously unwelcome. ... Read more

I'm looking at the reviews and management only responds to the goo reviews and not the bad ones. Cops are tired of being called since they have to hear from management to be able to proceed with action. I had to install my own security cameras since the ones that are up are only for show. Cops have advised to bring this issue to the mayor's office and to the city counsel as there has a plethora of complaints about the breaking in of storages and the issues with the squatters and the amount of police reports that have been made. Also the lack of the facility not being up-to-date with the security features they are promoting. ... Read more

The gate to enter the “secure” complex has been broken for months, and at this rate I highly doubt it’ll ever be fixed. I’ve already heard of numerous break-ins in the facility by other tenants as well, which is very disconcerting to say the least. Property management has no regard for the safety of its tenants, customers or potential clients, nor the property upkeep itself, despite several attempts at contacting them. This facility has taken a huge turn for the worse, and I don’t see any sign of future improvements being made. ... Read more

There is a terrible situation that has been going on for a while. Since the fire last year, all that area has been available for squatters since the gate does not work. They live outside where they cook outside and shower outside. They go around every single unit, checking if they can open. Almost every tenant has been broken into. They are hiding the stolen goods in an empty storage, and they used to later go thru the items later. They tried to break into my unit and they just got to break the lock but not completely. What they did not realize is that all they needed to do after they messed with the lock is that pushing the door to one side would let them have access. I was told that I had to wait for someone to replace the whole lock but did not know when they could send someone. It has been 2 weeks and nothing. No gate, no camaras that work, they have welcomed all these squatters to steal and live there. They preach that our safety and security is important. Cops won't come anymore. They say that it's management problem and they have to request directly to them for them to take action. Everyone is getting ready to walk including the commercial companies that occupy there. ... This property has fallen into complete shambles and the property management is NOT taking proper action to remedy the safety concerns for anyone who frequents the property. I fear for my safety and the safety of my vehicle when on property. The property lighting has not been repaired in months. The gate has been broken and left open for nearly a year. The dumpster hasn't been emptied in ages. The BIGGEST SAFETY CONCERN are the transient people squatting on property who are causing major safety issues to people, vehicles parked in the parking lot, and valuables on property. They are screaming at those who are supposed to be on property and even threatening folks who are passing by. They fight amongst themselves on property. Not only are all businesses and tenants who pay rent affected by ALL of these safety concerns, so are those who visit/frequent the property. This MUST be taken seriously by the management company and immediate action is required. ... Read more

Highly concerned with the activity going on in the parking lot I went to check on my unit last night and saw a homeless man looking around the units collecting items. He also looks to be living in a silver van in the parking lot, very strange and out of the ordinary hopefully something is done about it soon I suspect drug use also. ... Read more

The property has become a dangerous place. There are people living in units that yell at us if we get close to their space which is right by the community dumpster. Management is not doing anything to secure the property or address the people living in units. Nobody is on site. ... Read more

I rent a unit through them, and I've been almost broken into several times! They leave units on either side of me unlocked, which invites thieves to get in and try an break in, without anyone seeing them! I've asked them to keep locks on the doors surrounding my unit, and last time I went by there, there were no locks! I've put some dollar store locks on there, myself, to try and protect myself, but they remove them! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage Depot - 9021 Ruland Road include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Keyless Unit Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 750 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage Depot - 9021 Ruland Road start from $42 and can go up to $219 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
