Elsie really shined as a compassionate, reasonable manager at this location. She made me feel like it’s ok to be human. I don’t encounter many people who so obviously care for others while maintaining professional standards. I had a clog in my finances a couple of months and missed my storage payment. (Extreme weather and holidays caused delays in the flow of paying jobs.) Many of the tools I use to make money are in my storage, so when I lost access to my unit, I lost access to my resources. This situation really sent me into a panic for a few days. Finally I stopped by the office… Wow, Elsie seemed to sense my panic and authenticity…she calmly walked me through the fees, showed me what I actually owed (less than I realized), took the payment I had, and re-established access. I am so grateful to Elsie for being so helpful. Now I’m all caught up and I can now go out and make some money!! Thanks Elsie ... Read more

This storage place has everything it advertised. They are quick to get you to sign on and take your money. Then soon after, customer service will be zero communication whenever anything comes up. I have been calling for about 2 months and visiting the location on any given day & time with no avail looking to change rental units. I think the property manager is committing fraud on payroll because it seems like no is in the office at any time. If you call the support line for the manager it is always an answering machine. Call the support number and if no one picks up my point is still proven. If somone picks up, please let me know in this post because I can never get a hold of them. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 9630 Hillcroft Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
