This place is infested with RATS! These rats tore up just about everything that was in my unit. Couches, boxes of clothes, TV wires, moonwalk, and other items. Spoke with two managers about the same issue. Orange door insurance is a complete WASTE max they will pay out is $250 for the entire unit. I pay $186 a month with the insurance. Elevator was broken most the time to use the other units I did have. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! ... Read more

I was there on the 10th January, got in to the building but couldn't get to second floor where my storage unit is. I call for assistance ,they said leave a message we will get back to you. I called twice never got a call back,so I left, not happy. Today when back Monday 12th same thing, same problem it was 11 o'clock no one there . There was a young man there told me,there seems to be a problem with the elevator. I had to use the stairs, he helped me up the stairs with my stuff. I hope this problem can be corrected. ... This place has gone completely down to rock bottom since I moved in a year and a half ago. The gate has never worked with my phone, which I've overlooked this entire time. Just over two months ago, the main door to the 1st building has been smashed and it has been boarded up for over TWO MONTHS. Today, I went there only to find the gate is now wide open and trash overflowing in all directions from the dumpster in at the entrance of the facility. Drive through the gate and you'll have to drive over broken glass. I walked into the main building through the back side the front door is broken and not only does it smell bad, but there is trash, debris and even an abandoned mattress just laying about the inside of the building. It's as if management doesn't even exist at this place. ... Read more

Cherame is a true blessing I was lost completely. Missed placed original account phone number and was up against the clock to get my account up to date. She was patient , helpful and very understanding. This young lady went above and beyond. All the while being professional and hospitable. She alone is the reason I’ll recommend Public storage and be a loyal customer. ... Read more

Been using this storage company for almost 3 years. Very clean and the staff have all been very helpful. Public storage does increase the rates over time, but its not drastic amounts that it's increased by. Cherame Williams, I truly thank you for your assistance in helping me to understand storage renting and taking care of my needs. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 6456 Highway 6 North include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 100 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 6456 Highway 6 North start from $12 and can go up to $102 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
