Warning: Morningstar of Eado traps customers with sneaky rent hikes If you’re considering storing your belongings here, read this before you sign anything. I’ve been a loyal, on-time customer. Recently, I received a rent increase notice that felt like a calculated trap, not a fair adjustment. Here’s exactly what they did: ?? Raised rent from $109 to $129/month (plus tax = $141 total) ?? Gave only 30 days’ notice ?? Require 30 days’ notice to move out That’s the trap: the rent hike and the move-out deadline hit at the same time. You either pay the higher rate or scramble to move out immediately. Most people don’t have the time or energy to relocate that fast—and they know it. That’s the game. This is not about rising costs. It’s about removing your ability to make a fair decision. An honest company would give 60–90 days’ notice. Morningstar chose not to—because trapping customers is more profitable. If you’re shopping for storage, ask these questions upfront: How much notice do you get for rent increases? How much notice is required to vacate? Get it in writing. Companies like this count on you not checking. Now you know. ... Read more

We have had a plethora of problems and we have only been tenants here for 2 weeks. First I reserved a unit online, but they did not honor the price. 2nd they did not tell us ahead of time, but they ONLY take cash deposit in order to use the truck on move in day. 3rd, they also did not inform us but you need fuel receipts on return. They charged us when we literally only drove 6 miles round trip which was reflected on the odometer. The lady working also had very poor customer service skills. There is also conflicting information on access hours. It is NOT 24/7. We came early to drop off additional stuff and could not get in. HOWEVER, while we were trying to figure it out, a homeless person came out from being inside the facility overnight. I would not recommend this place to anyone. ... Read more

Signing up for Morningstar Storage was as easy as getting a Netflix subscription—smooth, effortless, and no headaches. Their website’s UX & UI made reserving a unit feel seamless, with a clean design and intuitive flow that got us in and out in minutes. No gimmicks, no wasted time—just straight to business. Pulling up to the facility, we could tell this was different. Spotless, well-lit, and secure, it felt more like a high-end operation than your typical storage spot. And let’s talk about the smell—we actually complimented how fresh it was. Most storage places hit you with that musty, damp odor that lingers on your belongings. Not here. The real MVP? Angi, the Facility Manager. She didn’t just hand us a map and send us on our way—she personally walked us through everything, even helping push the cart to the third floor while showing us the access points. That level of service is rare. After leaving a different facility that didn’t cut it, we’re grateful to have found this gem just blocks from our apartment. Secure, clean, and run by people who actually care—Morningstar Storage is the real deal. IG: dnelson365 IG: msrealtorpreneur ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Morningstar Storage - 812 Live Oak Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
