Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 4800 Village Pkwy, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Becky and Jonathan were so helpful. This is a very clean place and Jonathan and Becky answered all of my questions and made the process so easy. Jonathan showed me around to make sure I had the right size. ... Read more

Overall my experience here was fine but trying to cancel my unit, Pam was on lunch and there’s was NO sign up on the door. If there’s an allotted time that workers will be gone for lunch everyday, there should be a sign out so people don’t have to wait around not knowing why the office isn’t open or get one of those flip open closed signs if the time differs. I had called this morning telling her I don’t live close by but I need to cancel my unit and she let me know the store hours and that I’d need to come in to cancel but in person she then tells me I could’ve cancelled online so this inconvenience cost me and hour and 45 minutes from waiting and driving back and forth. ... I dont like posting reviews especially low star ones but my unit got robbed and insurance got denied. I had some valubles that I will never recover and if I did I would have to pay resell price. I don't have space at home and I dont feel like my belongings are safe now that someone knows what I have in there. If you are on the third floor I would go check if you guys have anything missing. I am getting no compensation at all. Still paying rent for the unit that keeps going up every month or so. Ever since our unit got robbed no one has reached out from management. I am frustrated because I keep paying rent for a ridiculous amount and on top of that there is no security. I think it's so sad that if this were to happen to someone else there would be no proof for anyone to get evidence of their unit got robbed. Please get working cameras! If it happened to me it can happen again someone else. ... Read more

The staff is the best. Pam is so helpful and explained everything to me and made sure all was ready for my daughter to start moving stuff in before I arrived. My phone calls were returned in a timely manner if I had to leave a message. ... Read more

I had the unit for approximately 10 months. In the last 3 months they increased my rate from $274 to $505. We called the property manager and they were not able to help. A clear bait and switch. Renter beware. The only help they offered was that we could move to another unit same size same floor for $364. Shame on you Public Storage I thought you were a better company than this. Needless to say we are making arrangements to move and will be sure to warn everyone we come in contact with. ... Read more

Good facility. But frustrating experience. The front office does not respond to numerous attempts at phone calls, and they raise rates by 25% within 3 months of initiating the contract for a unit. Edit: updated to 1 star, since I first posted this review I have still not been able to get the "property manager" to answer the phone. Every time I am met with a pre recorded message telling me their hours for answering calls, and it is always during a time I am calling. Incredibly frustrating as Public Storage essentially delegates all communication responsibilities to each location. This location refuses to answer the phone. ... Read more

I have rented units several times at two different Public Storage locations over the past ten years. Their contract states they can increase the price when they choose. I started renting a 10x10 unit for $92 in December 2024, and I just received notice that the price will be $132 starting in May 2025. They have increased the price every single time I have rented within 3 to 4 months! I thought I would give it one last shot to see if it would happen again, and of course, it did! I just checked current prices for the same location and unit size on their site, and I can rent the same unit for $85, LOL! This seems to be their business model, and it isn't a fair one. I would suggest they change their pricing model to include a "3-month intro price or 40% discount intro price". When I'm back in the area, I'll be selecting a different storage company! ... Read more

Public Storage made it so easy for me to open up a storage Unit at a reasonable price. I felt my items in my storage are very safe and taken care of with all the security-steps there is to get into my unit. Then when I was done with the storage unit, it was easy to close. I highly recommend public storage. It will use it again if the need ever comes about. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 4800 Village Pkwy include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 4800 Village Pkwy start from $26 and can go up to $440 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
