Secure, clean and safe. I only needed a small storage unit, 5'x7'. Got the first month free (liked that) and the monthly storage fee is a great price. Mostly I like the fact the unit is very secure. Has a solid metal door on my unit, looks like it can take a short range blast from an M20 Bazooka, and if you want, you can put 2 locks on it. Did I mention a great price? ... Read more

Edit: Somebody has got to talk to the bigger guy up there.... he's pretty off putting for tenants. He constantly rides by and stares with a blank, almost skewed face. I'm glad security roams the premises, but the way he grimaces and glares and rides by several times just to do so is strange and unprofessional. I shouldn't be feeling harassed or watched while getting or organizing my things in a storage I pay every month on time.... A tip: If you stare more than 10 seconds, at least speak, that softens a hard face. Okay place, clean just has bad foundations, that doesn't affect the units though. Rent has risen once since I have placed my things here by about $20 and I've been there about 6 months. BUT I did get my 1st 3 months half off so I can't complain, plus they do have some of the lowest rates for larger units in the area. Sometimes you do have to watch out for people trying to tailgate to get in at night, some will literally lay in wait across the street or at that gas station. Customer service is cool, the skinny guy with the glasses is nice and so is the lady(sorry, I don't know their names)even though I don't see her much... so yeah, okay place. If you come at at night just keep your wits about you, as you should anywhere when it begins to get dark. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at SecurCare Self Storage - 5197 McCart Avenue include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 35 to 400 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by SecurCare Self Storage - 5197 McCart Avenue start from $14 and can go up to $707 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
