We had a great experience at Extra Space Storage! The manager went above and beyond to help us when we were in a bind. Wonderful, facility, clean organized and have a assortment of different size storages. Perfect for all your needs. Sherry in the front office was a delight to do business with. Very accommodating, professional. I was able to get into the storage in less than an hour. I love that there is a app you can download to open the gate with just a push of the button on your phone! From a facility standpoint, I would say it's average for storage units I suppose. The photos will show the quality on the inside. The photos show that someone could actually get to your stuff from the other side if you stack it too high. They need to fix some things falling down. I never hear air or feel it coming from the vent, and the screws stick out so much, I would consider it dangerous. From a customer service standpoint, they get a 5 star. I have been trying to move my stuff out for several months, but for one reason or another, couldn't. They worked with me on price, and haven't kicked me out. I have just been going month to month. They are always kind and respectful. From a cost perspective, they are comparable to others, and probably a little cheaper, but be sure to ask when your "promotional" price is ending so you aren't caught off guard as I was. Overall, they get 4 stars because I don't live here and will be gone this month and won't have to worry about any of the inside stuff anymore. But the staff has been very nice and accommodating. ... Disappointed with this store employees character on 12/09. I want to start this off by stating frustration does not warrant disrespect. The backstory is I downgraded to a smaller unit because of bills and no longer needing such a huge storage unit anymore. I was informed that I’d have 24hrs to remove my belongings from the unit I was transferring from. Unfortunately life at the time I decided to make this transfer was really busy for me. I was in the middle of breaking my lease with my current apartment and moving into a new one. Not to mention from that day of the transfer I was scheduled to work at my hospital for 6 days in a row all 12hr overnight shifts so needless to say I was drained and my mind was occupied. I had genuinely forgotten about needing to move the rest of my belongings. Now here is where I believe the disconnect came from. For me this is something that completely escaped my mind because I was so overwhelmed with other things in life but to the employee here all they see is someone they told to have their items out of by a certain date. I’m not sure if she was having a bad day or just was mad at me for this mistake but I feel she was very rude in how she spoke to me over the phone. I apologized to her over the phone multiple times saying it was never my intentions to let this slip my mind and even asking questions to understand why she was being hostile with me. I can understand that this must’ve been frustrating for her and who knows what kind of day she had but I did not deserve the hostility. Despite her rudeness I still remained respectful even though I was the one who had everything to lose. I was told if I did not make it there by at least 5:45pm today my belongings in the unit would be forfeited which I told her I understood. So my genuine question is what do you gain by being rude to someone who has apologized to you, asked you genuine questions to understand where you’re anger was coming from, acknowledged and respected the consequences of their actions and was polite to you? The saying “How you treat people who can do nothing for you shows a persons true character” is very true. I do want to acknowledge and appreciate that she gave me a week to have my belongings out which is a very long time especially to an employee but to someone who completely forgot about it i was never even aware of the gesture. I just wish we could have more grace with one another because just like she was frustrated so was I with all of my belongings on the line and I have no vehicle so I was struggling to find a way there. What I can say is she and I know that I remained respectful and polite over the phone despite her hostility and rudeness and that was on purpose. I chose to remain respectful and the takeaway I want from this is I hope that maybe one day if another situation or something similar occurs she can choose to remain kind despite whatever frustration or anger she’s feeling because in the end we know nothing about what people are going through. We are all just trying to make it. EDIT: Furthermore I have a camera in my home that recorded my side of the entire conversation we had over the phone. It shows me maintaining a respectful tone, apologizing and asking why I was getting an attitude. Despite me doing all of these things she still kept practically belittling me and taking her anger out on me trying to make me feel bad about a situation that i told her was not intentional. I unfortunately feel like I was bullied. Being able to maintain composure and respectfulness when feeling disrespected is HARD and takes a lot of humility and maturity. Hopefully I will be able to reach management on a regional level to send this recording to them as it has date and time stamps that will be paired with my call logs showing we were on the phone at that time. Disrespect is never okay. Let’s try to be better ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Extra Space Storage - 7600 McCart Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Extra Space Storage - 7600 McCart Avenue start from $29 and can go up to $253 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
