Read some helpful reviews of Curio Storage at 9200 Oak Grove Road, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I'm renting a parking spot for my car other than the front end suspension and steering column being in the spot when I got there. Everything else was good. I was there for about 2 weeks and sold the car. When I last went everything was starting to be cleaned up. ... Read more

This storage facility has done a good job. We did have some issues getting into the facility one day due to a broken gate, but they escalated the issue quickly and made sure we were able to get in and access our unit. It's definitely not the cleanest storage unit facility we've used, but it's not overly dirty either. Just some leaves and things in the driveways that don't get cleared often, from what I've noticed. ... Read more

I rented from the Desoto location. Storage Scam I had a storage unit with DFW SELF STORAGE in Desoto. On December 27 Melanie text and said you haven't made a pymt in 2 months were going auction your storage if you don't pay by January 8. I said I get paid 1-5 I can pay then. So I paid $340 on 1-5 for a storage unit that cost $50 per month. When I went to get my stuff out on the 31st it was gone. I explained the combination was on all the correct numbers except the last digit. Plus it was swept out. She accused me of giving my family the code and it must have been them. I explained I did not. I called the police who never came but advised me to send a certified 10 day letter to the storage company. I have a series of text from this lady that proves she took my stuff AND my money. She even admitted the stuff was auctioned on 12-18 and also took my money on 1-5. I never received anything about my stuff being auctioned off until 12-27-23. She refunded my money but I want what my items cost. There's no way this is legal. Avoid this company at all cost. . ... Read more

My friend asked for help moving some of his girlfriend's furniture out of a house down the road. I only had a few hours because my young son has severe separation anxiety, and when we showed up with our first pickup load, the gate code didn't work. We tried calling the number on the gate but kept getting an automated message. Eventually after 20 minutes my friends girlfriend (the account owner) got a hold of someone who told her that even though she reserved the unit several days before the facility was closed until further notice. Anyway 5/5 will use again, even though my buddy was arrested taking the dump-load to his brother-in-law's house. ... Read more

Parked my popup camper here and prepaid for 6 months. About halfway thru, I went one day to pick up the camper and found it had been vandalized, someone stole my spare tire, license plate and attempted to get all of the copper out of the A/C and refer. Absolutely no cameras in the facility and no security whatsoever, and all the management could do was say "I'm sorry...". Just got a call from them the other day saying my account was due, so I told them again that my camper hadn't been there for three months and I walked away from the money I was owed. Drove by the this morning and there still aren't any cameras. Spend your your hard earned money elsewhere, and don't trust them to keep an eye on your valued items. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Curio Storage - 9200 Oak Grove Road include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 700 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Curio Storage - 9200 Oak Grove Road start from $15 and can go up to $69 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
