Read some helpful reviews of Go Store It at 520 Blake Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Nice, clean facility with ample storage space and easy, secure access. Charlotte was very helpful and assisted me with my move out instructions to simplify the process. My only complaint was that a few months in to leasing the unit, the price nearly doubled and when I look online at the same unit, it is discounted about $33 less from what I currently pay for the exact same unit. I feel like this was a business move to get more money from paying customers which I found disappointing. I have also not seen any furniture or moving dollies available since renting a space a few months ago. ... Read more

We rent a unit here and it was fantastic in the beginning. Currently though the back gate hasn't worked in at least 6 months and the elevator in our building has been busted off and on for the last year. It's the closest to our unit and super annoying that when it is fixed it breaks the very next month. Why hike the prices and not fix the facilities?! ... Read more

The property is nice and seems to be secure. Downside, only one gate works, there is no person on site, there is never a cart to help take stuff to the building where they should be…and I was told by another tenant that was moving out that they increase price for no reason and that they say it’s to make it better but the gate has been broken over six months yet they continuously go up on the storage fee. After 3 months it went up $97 and nothing has been fixed and nothing extra has been added. I’m very disappointed in how this company represented themselves and then I can’t talk to a real person because there are none. If it wasn’t such a hassle I would move immediately but i have a feeling this price increase will be frequent so I’ll be moving soon. Do your research and read reviews. I wish I would have been a little more diligent. FRUSTRATED ... Read more

Wow, I can’t believe how difficult the process of moving into a unit here was. Signing up of course was easy, it had to be done on the phone rather than online. Then I had things loaded up ready to move into the unit just for them to have assigned me an occupied unit. I took me ALL DAY to get a hold of someone to get the situation fixed. I even tried to go in person just to find that the office is just a big screen where you have to wait to be connected to someone. There is no actual person on site to help. You have to wait for them to call you back which takes who knows how long. When I finally got to the new UNOCCUPIED unit, there was a a lock on there that again I had to CALL AND WAIT TO BE CALLED BACK for the code on the unit. while at the unit ready to load things in. It was a complicated, long and difficult process. ... Read more

The whole experience was made so simple, and Laura was super kind for checking in on me and ensuring I moved my belongings in safely. I was so stressed about moving on short notice, but they made it possible, and alleviated my worries so quickly. Can't recommend this place enough. :) ... Read more

Reserved over the phone. When I got there on a Saturday the gate was open, the door to go inside to where my unit was was broken and left wide open and the elevator did not work. Called a number only to find out that there is no one that works on the property. Finally found an elevator that works and get to my unit to find a lock on it. Had to call back for the code for one unit and im still waiting for a call back for the combination to the other unit. If I had not had movers already I would go to a different storage facility ! Thought things would get better after speaking to the manager but today I received a message that rent went from $119 to $281.Tried calling and of course no answer! ... Read more

I've been a client at this location since it was Plan It-Storage back in 2013, long before Go Store It purchased it. The management was polite, professional and reliable, as was the staff. When Go Store It took over, a lot changed. One sticking point for me is that it's a virtual site. There's no human being at the site but for a single maintenance person who walks the site. This gives me pause. More importantly, trying to get someone to answer the phone is nearly impossible. I left a review on another site indicating the same problems and the owner responded the next day, very politely, but with the same script most companies use, very polite language, "your business is important to us" "we will take this under consideration", yet nothing's changed. It normally takes 45 mins. - 1 hour for someone to answer the phone. Sometimes you're given an option for someone to call you back, and it's a coin-toss whether or not you'll actually get a callback and there's never a timeframe offered as to how long the callback may take if you have other business to attend to. It's a shame because it's a repetitive problem and shouldn't be. I'm considering taking my business to U-Haul. Like Go Store It, it's a gated, locked storage facility, but there are human beings available to speak to me when I call or come by during business hours. ... Read more

The facility is very nice, and it's a nice touch that they have moving Dolly's for tenant use, which allows for easy moving in and out. Be weary that they can increase, in my case double the cost of monthly storage whenever they desire after you move in. I had three months of $47/month and it was just increased to $80. I will be moving my things as there is plenty of options for storage in the Denton area. There is a new facility that is taking tenants on 380 and Mayhill. ... Read more

I just rented there and thought everything was good until about three weeks later, until someone broke into my unit and only my unit. And just a few days earlier, I just brought two big jackets and a black backpack. It seemed very suspicious because the one thing they were looking for was a black backpack. And with all the cameras, no one called the police and it’s already been five days and they still haven’t even called me to discuss what happened. I think this was an inside job. I think they saw my black backpack and thought it was something else in there and they wanted to get it so I immediately moved my stuff out of there. Also, I was just there a couple of days prior to that and noticed that the key code to get in the building was also broken. And anybody can just walk in. Just seems very odd out that my only unit was only targeted. And I repeat I left messages and still no one has called me about this and it’s already been five days. ... Read more

Service personnel were outstanding. The reason for my stopping service was that my rate more than doubled after a short tine in one of your smallest units without prior notice. Otherwise I would remained there indefinitely.. ... Read more

Great rental rates and easy online signup but be aware! After the 3rd month they jack up the price! My unit went up $120.00 after the 3rd month and they claim its due to rising costs but they are offerning units my size and larger for half less than what i signed up for. And there is noone on site! It is all hybrid. You walk into a room the size of a closet and talk to a screen and someone remotely discusses any issues with you! I would highly recommend you find a place that will lock in your rate for a set period of time. This is the second storage facility that has done this to me after the 3rd month! ... Read more

I got my unit almost 2 years ago and it was great, there was always someone in the front office and the place was well maintained. Now it's a whole different story, lights around two whole buildings Don't work (I've called twice and no solution) so now I can't go get anything after a certain time because it's pitch black. One of the entrance doors didn't work for weeks and was open for anyone to just come in. Now on top of that my new unit which I switched to so I could "save" some money unit has doubled and I haven't even had this new unit for 6 months. Look somewhere else if you can ..it's not worth it to keep your stuff here! All they want is money but can't fix simple solutions to have a safe storage unit. ... Read more

This place is HORRIBLE!! They will "nickel" and "dime" you to DEATH!! I came in on a so-called "special" rate...never received it!! Every time I turned around, I was charged for the unit (2x in the 2nd month). Talked to the "senior" lady ( nice person at first, once she got your money....she changed!!). I wanted to drop their insurance and add my own. She said that she could not do it because it was on the 1st of the month. Well, they have always charged my card on the 5th of the month. She could have easily made the change but didn't. Instead, she instantly charged my card the full amount after talking to her on the phone. I called back to ask to talk to someone in authority, and she advised that I could only send an email! So, she basically "blocked" my complaint!! To be paying $200.00 a month in storage fees, you would think everything would be working properly. For the past weeks, the gate and doors have been out of service!! **See pictures** PLEASE STAY AWAY AND RENT SOMEWHERE ELSE!! They really deserve "No Stars"!!!! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Go Store It - 520 Blake Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Go Store It - 520 Blake Street start from $20 and can go up to $128 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
